I have one gold scarf ring from Hermès… Just a basic ring with a ring in the front but… I have been buying Bakelite belt buckles for many years and they are perfect for the 90 scarves and come and wonderful colors

I've actually used finger rings as scarf rings. Worked out quite nicely.

What a great collection! I love my Mors Scarf ring the best. I also have Gucci and Ferragamo scarf rings that I wear with my Hermes scarves.

This is a very useful video. I never thought a ring can enhance the look of a scarf. Now I know better. I particularly like your horn chaine d'ancre. I have seen some similar ones at fairs and flea markets but always thought they were for belts. Long time ago I bought a large ring for a couple of dollats at a fair because I collect ivory jewelry but never did anything with it. Maybe it is meant for knotting a scarf. Anyway a great idea and will try it !!! Thank you🥰

Thanks for your feedback, Martha, I find scarf rings incredibly useful. It’s fun to experiment with different rings like your ivory find, my only caution is to make sure it’s completely smooth to avoid any accidental snags! Have fun 🤩

Love these scarf rings! Thanks for sharing. Do you have a video showing how to actually use the scar ring? I really want to buy the regate ring but have no idea how to use them.

I am so glad I discovered your channel. Love the mors ring the most. Can you tell me which theme is the scarf at 6:33 ? I love the colors. I search on a regular basis the second hand market and I have to say, most of the scarves I see are ugly, dated and don't have the colors I am looking for, and if they do, they are much more expensive than new ones at Hermès because of the rarity sometimes. I am now saving for my first brand new contemporary Hermès 90 cm scarf but I have not found one that I am in love with yet. Thank you for this great video and tutorial!

Thanks for your comments! That scarf is called Wild Singapore by Alice Shirley in vert/rose/bordeaux, colorway 05, I think. Her designs are highly collectible. It is possible to find on the secondhand market but be prepared for sticker shock. Good luck hunting & LMK what you end up with! 😍

@@cranleyplace Thank you so much! I just made a quick search and you are right... Very expensive due to rarity.

Great videos! Can a Pandora O pendant be used as a scarf ring?
@cranleyplace2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment and question! I’ve never handled a Pandora O pendant, but theoretically it should work. I think there’s a bale, though, right? I would be cautious about that as a potential source of snags and to be sure that the pendant is completely smooth (again, to avoid accidental snags). LMK how it works for you!
@humanrightsforall092 жыл бұрын
@@cranleyplace Yes, I tried it and it’s smooth. I even added a charm but made sure to cover it with a finger while pulling through the silk, just to be on the safe side.

Do the Hermes scarf ring stain your scarf at all? Im afraid to get a jewelry mark like sterling might leave. Love your videos❤
@cranleyplace Жыл бұрын
Great question, Coral! Knock on wood, I’ve never had an issue with any of the H scarf rings or my DIY ones, but I would think twice about metals that may oxidize and/or using plated jewelry. Thanks for your comments!

@@cranleyplace Ive decided to stick with Hermes on the scarf ring! I really do appreciate the format and how informative your videos are on scarves.

"men's" ring idea really helps! ... I was initially looking for a dupe scarf ring, but it seemed its rough finished edges would scratch a scarf.... On the other hand, rings should not have such rough finishing because it is supposed to contact fingers ^_^ Moreover, I can choose any size from the broad range! So, now I use a large men's ring (size 12 or so) in replacement of a shendon ring (I had noticed some of the beautiful knotting you kindly show us can also be done with a ring without the middle part (, such as the one where one end goes though a loop [like this Ω] created through a scarf ring) ^_^

I have a question do men ever use these you know like cowboys and neckerchchiefs ??? Please be honest I would hate to get in a gun fight over bunk house banter 😂 but I'm pretty bad at tieing them this ones a oval with a bar chain Dar I'm not sure what you called it it was silver oval and bar appreciate any advice
@cranleyplace19 күн бұрын
Absolutely! Although Western/cowboy styles tend to use a simple slide versus the chaîne d’ancre that you mentioned. I have knot tutorials available to channel members if you’re interested; you can check out the membership options at www.youtube.com/@cranleyplace/join. Thanks for the question and hope that helps!
