20 Is a wider thinner slingshot band as powerful as a thicker narrow slingshot band set?

Absolutely Love the thinner latex from SimpleShot 💯. As long as ya don't overload the bands with the heaviest steel/lead it's stupid fast, especially in a semi-long draw,.cut your tapers appropriately✓

Thanks for this! I have been playing around with thicker latex and thinner cuts and find they are easier to draw and snappier. The band life is awesome and probably the best reason to do this. I don't have a Chrono, but can shred cans with the thinner cuts, (1mm thick, 11 mm to 6mm taper), really well with 1/4 inch ammo, and they still handle the 3/8 ammo too.

That is a lot of band for the 1/4" ammo. As long as you don't get hand slap you are not overpowered.

Also...54 grain 3/8 balls were outshooting 40 grain 1/2" marbles by 50 yards....1/4" steel almost as far as the 3/8...

I found that .6mm shoots as far as .8mm bands....faster retraction/fps...also 50mm wide at the forks to 20mm wide at that pouch folded to make 25mm by 10mm...works better than triple bands....folding them over fantastic...little longer bands shoot farther...

With the same size ammo and matching speeds on the chronograp, which would have the lighter draw weight? The wider cut .4mm or the narrower cut of .5mm ?

That depends on the cuts themselves. They should be fairly close to the same draw.

It will depend on the taper and your draw length as well as the brand of latex. This is one each individual needs to test for themselves.
