excuse me but may i ask for a further deep dive on this? i was testing this very thing and yeah, it seems to be about right. however i did further testing, he had the mods 'helmet camera, late company, and freddybracken' i did not have these mods installed and was able to join just fine it seems like theres a serverwide, and a client type of mods, but that makes me what qualifies as a 'all client mod' as opposed to a 'client side mod' i was hoping if there could be more research on this

@@DelusionalPastery just guessing as to why there are some that required everyone to join, things that affect the "lobby" aka number of peopling joining likely needs to be downloaded by everyone as it's dealing with the "server" configuration that you are running as. So the mods need to be in sync for your two computers to talk to each other correctly. Where as the helmet camera mod , like the fact that only the host has the save file, is "instanced". Meaning it's loaded off of just the host's computer and then broadcasted to everyone else when the map loads.

I downloaded ReservedItemSlotCore/Flashlight and Walkie. The drag and drop does not work for these mods. I also downloaded Extra Inv. from Nexus Mods, dragging and dropping works for those. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am not getting the mod manager.

what worked for me and my friends is uninstalling game and deleting files - download the LC API first, then Bigger Lobby, and then finally download and drag BepInEx x64
