20 mins of pure Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 sounds! Accelerations, Downshifts, Flames & Hot Brakes!

During the 2021 Lamborghini World Finals at Misano World Circuit, in Italy, Lamborghini reserved a few sessions of the weekend for the new track-only hypercar developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse: the Essenza SCV12. A total of 9 cars were in Misano but only 4 of them hit the track (3 black ones and Lamborghini's development mule, still fitted with the orange camo wrap used to hide the major details of the car for testing before the official presentation happened in 2020).
The Essenza SCV12 is the result of the combined work of Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Lamborghini Centro Stile. It's powered by the production 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine able to produce up to 830 hp and linked to a X-trac sequential 6-speed gearbox that unloads the power to the rear wheels. The aerodynamic package comes from Squadra Corse's experience with the Huracan Super Trofeo and GT3 cars. The bodywork is formed by only three elements to enable quick replacement when necessary during pit stops. The chassis of the SCV12 is a new-generation carbon fiber monocoque without internal rollcage, making it the first GT car developed to respect FIA prototype safety rules. A total of 40 cars will be built and, as it happens with XX cars for Ferrari or P1 and Senna GTRs for Mclaren, customers will be able to drive them from 2021 in “arrive and drive” events held at FIA Grade 1 homologated circuits.

Great engines have a lot more character than just what they sound like at 12,000 rpms and I often find I enjoy the part-throttle sounds and engine-braking decelerations as much as the max effort flybys.

I love the way the car is set up.It has to be driven at maximum torque towards maximum redline regardless of speed so it can be driven smoothly, very similar to a f1 car

When a 21 minute video earns a "like" within the first minute... Forget your Mickey Mouse Centenario's, STO's, Sian's or Veneno's... this is by a long, long way the most "bad ass" Lambo to have been released in a LONG time. It looks effing mean, sounds effing mean and goes like somebody lit a firecracker up its ass.... Such a pity it's track only, but hey, just look at it!!! I'm not a huge fan of but a few Lambos, but this is my favorite so far with the Sesto Elemento in a close second. This flying door stop sounds magnificent, but I can tell it's a handful. It's a skate at high speeds but a rubbery lump until you get the aero up. Adapting to this car must be one hell of a challenge....and a lot of fun collecting 2G in the corners.
