Beginner over here, though the rowing machine has always been my go to warm up in the gym for many years. Recently bought a rower and after watching a few clips find I knew nothing at all of how to row 😊 Looking forward to doing this one fella. Yam Squad I’m in!! 🤧

I’ve been using the C2 for a number of years, but even though stated to be a ‘beginner session’ this is invaluable to reinforce core principles. Age 54, LW 5’7” cancer survivor. Rating 21 s/m and just 2:20 splits but pace wasn’t my focus. Thanks as always Cam! Brilliant and so user friendly and positive in your presentation. Keep up the great work! John S

Great beginner video Cam ! Suggestion for a next video : Camera on the monitor showing the force curve AND another camera showing you rowing. There is not enough videos on KZbin insisting on the importance of technique vs force curve ! 👍😉

Thanks, this is very useful. I especially appreciate: 1. the acknowledgment that the drills are not easy, and 2. Using drills to check on form when fatigued. It’s too easy to substitute effort for technique when what we need is both.

Getting back into rowing after a long break!! Amazing workout - I usually struggle with boredom and the mental challenge of keeping my splits during ergs longer than 15 mins so this was great to keep my moral up! Finished with a 2:35.6 split overall and 3856 meters. I’m proud that I kept my goal split of 2:25 mostly through the steady states, but definitely want to work on not getting too tired at the end. Really suprised myself with how powerful I got in the last 2mins!! My fastest split I remember from the last 30 was a 2:17 at a rate 20 which I’ve never done before!! Thanks so much for this 😆

so...the "stretcher"...do you set it so that at front-stops your shins are vertical ? beginners may wish to know this thanks !!
@CameronBuchan2 жыл бұрын
I'm not really sure what you mean. The stretcher doesn't move on the erg. There isn't really anything to set on the erg so that you can or can't have shins vertical. If you're meaning the foot height, no I wouldn't change that so that your shins are vertical at the catch. Foot height on the erg is definitely worth a video for itself.
@andyhall70322 жыл бұрын

I'm not "pulling" with my arms but can see why you may think that. It's how I take up the slack in the chain on the machine when changing direction. Something I'm working on ironing out!
