20 minute Instant Pot: Cream of Chicken and Rice Recipe

What You will need
3 Boneless chicken breast (cut)
1 chopped onion
3 cloves of garlic
2 cups of chicken broth
2 cups of water
1 can of cream of chicken
Adobo Or whatever seasoning you'd like
21 seasoning salute by Trader Joes
Olive Oil
Garlic butter(optional)
Instant Pot
Directions
Hit the sauté button on your instant pot and let your pot heat up. It will sauté for 30 minutes but you can adjust the time to your liking. I recommend at least 15 minutes of sautéing until your chicken looks mostly cooked. It will let you know when it's hot and ready. Put your olive oil, onions, and garlic in the pot and sauté it for about 5 minutes then add your chicken. Once all ingredients are cooked add in your rice and butter mix it around for about 2 minutes to toast the rice. Last add your water and chicken broth and mix it thoroughly. Once everything is mixed together, put the lid of the pot on and switch the pressure nozzle over. Click pressure cook for 10 minutes. When it's ready it will let you know and it will be time to release the pressure. Be careful and step away from he nozzle when releasing the pressure. You can get burned. So be very careful. Once you safely remove the lid store your rice and serve as needed.

I have been looking for a good instant pot chicken and rice recipe that looked like my mom's and this is it! I made it w/less liquid 1 cup rice and 1 cup chicken broth, cause the cream of soup is also a liquid. I love the consistency. Not too "runny".

Can you pleas tell me the seasoning you used beside the 21? Wow! Amazing! I love my insta pot, but I’ve never heard of toasting the rice and these awesome seasonings! I did try this on my own and I didn’t cut up the chicken and I just added rice and broth and cream of chicken all layered with cheese and I had a burn notice and bring the chicken. So I’m going to try your recipe! Thank you for your instructions!

Michelle Thornton I didn’t realize. So it basically depends on how much you’re making. If you do one cup of rice than do 1 cup of water and 1 cup of chicken broth. If making 2 cups of rice than do 2 cups of water and 1 cup of chicken broth

I didnt realize it wasn’t under there. I do say it in the video. But you can use your own judgment. It really depends on how many people you’re cooking for. So if you use 1 cup of rice then use one cup of water and one cup of chicken broth. If 2 cups of rice then use two cups of water and 1 cup of chicken broth.
