I just found you today. Boy, I am impressed! My baby lilacs have a few precious blooms, I will follow your lead. Just like those fast gesture drawings in school! I subscribed, too. Thanks!

Wonderful! Thank you so much! Have fun painting your lilacs. I don’t have any in my own yard so it’s pretty special whenever I get some from friends.

Hi, Anna. I saw you have paints from many different companies on your palette. Since you're using a lot of the higher end brands, I'm wondering what makes you pick a pigment from one brand over the same pigment from another brand. Is it pigment load, viscosity, or is it just as simple as what you grab out of your kit? I met your sister last year at PSOA (couldn't go this year). You are both so very talented and I'm loving all the art and content you're both creating. Thank you!

Hi there, thank you for your comment! Yes, I am selective about which colors I use from specific brands. Generally speaking I like my lights to be opaque and buttery, and I like my darks to be transparent... and also very buttery. :-) After LOTS of trial and error, I've settled on the ones I use most often here in these videos. But I'm still always experimenting with new colors and brands.

Just say red, yellow and pink. Sound like a snob when you talk like that. Not to mention, my paint from my local craft store Windsor and Newton paints work just as well as your Fancy pantsy paints... My $5 or $10 ( depending on tube size ) tube will do the same. 🙄 Ok now my rant is over. I do like your work, continue 🫵🏼🤨🫴🏼

Hahahaha! WHICH red, yellow, and pink?? Gotta be specific you know.

@@AnnaRoseBain I don't have the fancy paints that you have. I got some crimson and some venetian red 🤷🏼♂️ that's all I'm working with right now.

@@ronniejones1425 you can't have too many reds. The reason being: they lose their vibrance as soon as you mix them with another color. I would recommend adding a red to your arsenal that leans a bit more towards the purple. WN makes a good quinacridone magenta.

@@AnnaRoseBain I agree, I have a Windsor and Newton magenta. I wish KZbin would let us send pictures because I did a painting of a beautiful woman ( not as beautiful as you of course 😬 ) but I used blues, pink and magenta in her hair. It came out very pretty so yes, I do like magenta. Side note, I watched one of your videos where you was outside painting the beach. You did a great job. It is my favorite painting ( so far ) of yours.
