Welcome to Reykjavik, Iceland!! One of the more obscure planespotting destinations across the globe! This is an airport I've been wanting to travel to for a long time, and finally got the chance to in August this year!! Iceland is one of the most stunning countries on the planet, and it has an epic feature of Keflavik International Airport!
Home to Icelandair and PLAY, and visited by many airlines from across the globe, the diversity may be small, but the shots are absolutely worth it in Iceland! Had an amazing time spotting here catching aircrafts such as the US Air Force C5 Galaxy, Icelandair Cargo 767, U.S Navy P-8, and the Icelandair 757-200!!

Nice blend of civilian and military planes! I loved seeing the old Dash 8-200 especially compared to the much longer Q400. But wow, the Fullveldi IcelandAir 757-200 is quite the looker!

@@RAPHmodels nope. alltho the u.s. has a base there (ok well.. nato) the spirits have only been there during training missions. but yeah c-f's and c-17's are regular visitors.

I've never seen Knob Noster (Missouri - USA) listed as an origin or destination on this channel. I wonder how many folks had to look that one up,. (I live 120 miles west of Knob Noster in Kansas.)

This is only KEF airport as REK airport is an entirely different airport. And REK airport is mainly for local flights and for private jets

my guess is those p8s are on a constant shift of monitoring the seas around iceland to see if the movements of russian submarine fleets. any russian sub leaving murmansk and archangelsk, wishing to open to rest of the world has to pass through the gaps between either iceland and greenland, or the seas between scotland and iceland, with faroe islands in between. and last i checked faroes arent a nato member so us cant station a permanent surveillance plane fleet there. iceland is preem strategic location for any navy operating in northern atlantic ocean
