Hey there. Im approaching a year off benzos and 1 1/2 years of histamine intolerance. Sometimes the histamine is so bad that I can’t tell the difference between withdrawal symptoms and a histamine reaction. Mast cell was ruled out as my tryptase is not elevated. Eating very restricted diet helps but is not foolproof. I know exactly what you are dealing with. I’ve been told that the histamine issues will resolve when I am further away from benzos.

I switch off between having so much anger at the Dr. that prescribed these to me but I also get so frustrated at myself for not doing more research and somehow not realizing that these were not good for me. I Beat myself up for not knowing, but I didn’t.

Hi Melissa. How long does ur fatigue lasts? My central nervous is also bad And do u get headaches? And neck pain?

The fatigue was really bad when it was bad I mean it was debilitating bad like it was too hard to walk I do get headaches and I do get neck pain and all of that I was told and pretty much research that it comes from histamine intolerance from coming off the drug benzos are a high-powered antihistamine along with a central nervous system drug.

@@TheBenzoHouse can it also be damage of the central nervous system? Am having fatigue can barely make it to shower vision pain in my nerve. The adrenaline the shortness of breath. Sevier headaches. 😔 am 16 months off and get this but do u still get this symptoms?

In my opinion I don't believe it's permanent damage because mine got a lot better as the years off went on I couldn't stand in the shower I could barely wash my hair the shower water felt like sand hitting me in the back like being on a beach when it's really windy it was pretty severe. And I don't get it that bad anymore and also I can get a lot of air hunger where it's hard to breathe if I eat the wrong foods. Because the wrong foods act as an allergen in the body in your body tries to get rid of them.

Angry all of the time. Angry at the Drs that prescribed these and angry and disappointed at myself that I didn’t fully research this medication and that I should have realized that these were not good. Beat myself up everyday. Cannot handle that this is affecting my family.

Yeah I've been having it for the past week and it's really scary at first I thought I was having a stroke and had to call my doctor. I get it when I have Mast Cell activation syndrome which is a branch of histamine.

I'm really sorry to hear that and I'm getting really tired of hearing doctors cutting people. I don't know where they are afraid to allow somebody to slowly come off of a drug how that is a crime but not cold turkey. 😡

Histamine lasts a long time most get it several months later. Everyone in groups have the same issues. It's a tough recovery but it possible. I'm 2 years off with symptoms still.

Yes I have many times the one time my potassium was actually low I would go and make sure that your electrolytes are balanced that can cause it too. If their okay it's just withdrawal. Xo
