Would exclusively use compounding, but it’s cost prohibitive for some of us.

Unique topic that is not discussed enough, thank you. I've had (2) positive experiences with compounding pharmacies ... once for my pets and another for hormonal treatment during peri-menopause -- both successful.

There are some excellent compounding Pharmacies out there, but you need to do your research before just blindly accepting meds from one. My Rosacea med is compounded from 3 single meds into one topical cream. I had Estrogen compounded back in my Menopause days. The meds are usually more expensive, depending on what they are made of. They are not on every street corner.

45:47 Mmm, maybe not. It seems to be *more* than just the weight-loss (though that’s certainly a major component). For instance, in the SELECT trial, the cardio-protective effects kicked in even *before* there was significant weight-loss. One theory as to why is that GLP-1 meds are quite effective in reducing inflammation. In any case, the benefits do seem to extend beyond just simple weight-loss. There even seems to be a ‘brain component’ regarding reducing addictive behaviors, such as alcohol use or even gambling.

My only experience with a compounding pharmacy is with one of my pets. He needed thyroid meds recently and getting a pill down him is almost impossible. They compounded a transdermal version and we apply it to his ear 2x day from a metered syringe, so easy and fool proof I was thinking that this is prob the way of the future for med delivery

That is amazing! My Golden was diagnosed years ago with hypothyroidism. And yes, pills are a pain. I’ve never heard of these compounding pharmacies! And I’m a nurse of 33 years 😂. I’m looking for one here where I live. Thanks for the great tip !

@@MoM-do7js my pleasure! I have 2 golden boys too! Love them so much. Hope you can get this for your pup. I get it in the mail from a pharmacy called Wedgewood out of New Jersey I think.

@@MoM-do7jsThyroid pills are so teeny...can you not stick it in the dogs bowl with its food and consume it? Our Boxer takes hers and her Apoquel and a fish oil giant capsule twice daily w/o any issues.

So… govt says don’t eat too much sat-fat and trans fat, that’ll make you pound that stuff just to be contrarian? Seems kinda kamikaze, but, you do you.

This is disingenuous Mark. Testing hormones with your company, Function Health, is an ADDITIONAL $250+. On top of the $499 membership that your company makes quite difficult to get out of.
