One cool fact about the Update 3 is, that you can build one M.A.M at your base, then carry materials for another one in your inventory. The moment you discover a hard-drive, you can build the m.a.m. at the current location, put the drive in, start the research and dismantle the m.a.m again. This way the research is done while you are looking for other things or going back to base or so. Works with every other research from mam too.

That power trick works in reverse too! It's far more power-efficient to have 100 machines clocked at 1% than it is to have 1 machine at 100% (although it comes at the cost of your sanity)

You should do a tip on Mr Bean... his bounce mechanic is a bit screwy too. Whatever momentum you have gets increased when you bounce. The more you bounce, the higher you get, until SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE

My theory about the S.A.M ore is that it's one of those things some Devs do to encourage you to not play too much in one sitting. Can you do a guide on good techniques for building rails over terrain? Mine keep getting kind of... wobbly, and it's hard to keep the slopes consistent.

Here is a tip for that, build follow up rails first. So you want to build from point A, then B, then C. You build section A of the rail, then build C to get the alignment, then B and then you can dismantle C. C can be ultra short, it is just to align the endpiece of the rail in a wobbly situation. Other thing is to build on stilts, after unlocking the pillar pieces in the shop.

I actually use tip 5 a lot early game. Get the cart, get the truck station and then start building foundations to and from nodes. They literally are free energy couriers. I actually set up 6 to run in the grassy fields across a foundation bridge to a station receiving coal from that floating island. Mk2 miner, tier 3 belts, these things were out delivering the production rate. In other words, they were not able to get full 100 stacks of coal. They also have the advantage of because they only have a single item slot, their unloading and loading is practically instantaneous So I actually took out any pause nodes. . . . they go non stop, no pausing and it's quite a spectacle of a programed swarm. Highly recommend to anyone.

actually, this video did answer a question i had about the moth. in another video, you said that it could ruin your builds if you built too high, and since id never done that myself I got scared that it could actually destroy buildings and machines. nope, just no clips them. thanks!

about the nuclear waste: when i left the barrel (that my doggo had so kindly found for me) with the doggo and died and then later retamed the doggo in the spot where i originally found it, it still had the barrel. Oh, and talking about Doggos. I you want a place for your doggos you have to make sure they are on a foundation. I they are not on a foundation and you are too far away from them they will despawn.

I just discovered that one can place the pipeline junction cross just like a conveyor splitter, and then connect pipes to it. You even get the lines that show alignment with pipe connections and other pipeline junction crossings or pipeline supports you have placed prior. I used to place pipes first and then add junction crossing where needed, not always accurate though.

Sadly, that works only for ground-level pipes, I have yet to find how to do that for pipes above foundation level.

Satisfactory is made in a town called "Skövde" in Sweden (My home town), to get rid of the letter "Ö" when typing english, we usally type "OE". SKOEVDE. Thats what is say on the train sign =) Skövde is a really big industrial town, for example the Volvo motor factory is located there. Thanx for the video =)

Could you stack train stations like that to allow train load/unload stations to unload different things from different trains or to unload the same thing from different spots? Say, you have 1 unload block for a long train of a resource and just put more terminals to have it move forward and get all the resources from a longer train? I can see this as having lots of possibilities that could scale for long trains that could be used. I was inspired by seeing your stacked terminals in this video. :)

To expand on tip 12. You need a UK keyboard layout. (you can add a language for your w10 keyboard through w10 itself.) Switch to UK layout, press CTRL+SHIFT+L, type in the command, switch back to your normal layout.

how manz different kezboards do zou have to install to be able using some programs ? my normal keyboard is german, and i already have additionally installed ENG-US, and ENG-INTL, now also ENG-GB ? the console hotkey should be selectable like all the other command hotkeys !!! *_to all people who don't know what the problem is:_* when pushing the key left of "1" followed by "a", "e", "i", "o" or "u" you will get "âêîôû" on german keyboards, "`a`e`i`o`u" on ENG-US keyboards, and "àèìòù" on ENG-INTL keyboards. the keys to the right of P and L on german keyboards are "pü+" and "löä#" (without shift) and "PÜ*" and "LÖÄ'" (with shift), and to get the "~" on a german keyboard you need to push AltGr (located where other keyboards have the right Alt key, between space and the right WIN key) and + (or ctrl-alt-+ since the AltGr key is the same as pushing Ctrl and Alt at the same time; btw: that's why i hate programs that use "left alt" and "right alt" keys for two separate functions). but most programs then probably will read it as Ctrl-Alt-~ or something else, but not as a single "~". even when a program recognizes the "^" from german keyboards as that special "start the console" key (or the "`" on ENG-INTL), it will have additional problems since it most often still will have buffered the "composing" property, and thus convert any command line that starts with aeiou to start with âêîôû or àèìòù instead, or generate a ^ or ` when typing a space or other char as first char of the command line (thus i have the habit of typing commands as "^" + "backspace" + "real command"). even using ENG-GB is not easy since i need to either click "DEU or ENG" on the taskbar to switch the keyboard layout, and thus ingame need to first additionally type ESC to get the mouse cursor freed from the game's window, and after switching again push ESC to get back to the game, eventually with additional Alt-TAB to switch program windows. using WIN-space to cycle through layouts is also not easy when i have so many different layouts installed and thus don't just toggle back and forth between two layouts but cycle through 4+ layouts. *_how to pause the satisfactory game :_* after installing the ENG-GB keyboard layout and some more experimenting, i now know how to pause the game successfully in some way that allows me to use the computer for something else ... 1. push ESC to free the mouse from the satisfactory window (can no longer be done after pausing the game in step 4) 2a. on the taskbar click DEU to select keyboard layout and select GB-ENG, or 2b. push Win-Space a few times until you have cycled to ENG-GB 3. make the satisfactory window the active window again (click on it, or alt-TAB to it) 4. now you can successfully push the "~" key (to the left of the "1") to start the console and type the command "pause" 5. the game is paused and you can work with the computer again (including selecting your normal layout again), provided that you didn't forget step 1 above 6. to continue playing, do the above in reverse : switch to the satisfactory window while the ENG-GB keyboard is active again, type "~" and again the command "pause", switch back to your normal keyboard layout, and push ESC again to return to the game. >> VERY EASY, ISN'T IT ?

I dont know if anyone mentioned it but if u hold w + shift for second keep holding them while moving and press c u slide and if u press space while sliding u move faster then running normally and u can spam space the moment u hit ground. Its good way to climb height u cant reach by simply jumping its around 1.3-1.7 higher. And good way to traverse some distances

I only knew about the first few train stations names being from aroud coffee stain studio's, Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (where i live somewhat near to) was new to me being an actual name in the "List" of names. I always renamed them Like Hamburg Hbf (short for Hauptbahnhof) an Itzehoe because they are local train stations (yes i live in Germany) Thank you for tip no. 3 Kibz, love your vids!

The S.A.M. ore one isn't entirely true. I've found that with portable miners, (haven't tested with actual miners) will stop at around 50ish (87 for me), but if you take the S.A.M. out of the miners and into a storage bin and unload the area the miners will start mining again without needing to start a new game session.

I saw this awesome setup on reddit using factory carts to get rid of nuclear waste. This guy built a truck station over the void and threw a factory cart in a way it picks up the nuclear waste from the truck station and then falls down into the void. That way no doggo must die ;)

Power costs do not increase exponentially. They increase with production rate to the power 1.6. Each time you double the production speed you will triple the output. Exponential increase would be if every time you increased production rate by 1 you doubled the output.
