Several months ago, I started looking for English educational videos and lessons to help my wife to improve her English. I found Harry. He seemed to be a great teacher. Of course, my wife hasn't watched any episodes or lessons. I, however, am heavily plugged in that I have to have a daily dose of Harry's lessons. It evolved like a narcotic to me. :D

Hi Harry, just by chance I came across those precious hints of yours and now I'm addict to your page. Hmm... I'd like to get better acquainted to the difference prepositions make in the meaning of verbs. Things like: put on, put down, por up, put off etc. I'd be thankful. It would make things clearer to me. I'm still learning.

"Come across" is often used for finding things by chance, even ideas. "Run into" is mostly used for unexpectedly meeting people, sometimes with a sense of physical encounter.
