I remember my aunt and uncle having carpet in their bathroom with toilet seat covers too. I always felt grossed out walking on it.

While having an entire carpeted bathroom floor is understandably not common anymore, I do like having a separate rug placed somewhere on the bathroom floor.

I’m from the UK and that’s completely normal here 🇬🇧

Could you imagine being drunk in a bathroom with a sunken bath! 😂😂😂

In regards to bathroom things that may become only a footnote into history by the next century; A bulky water toilet tank not blended in seamlessly with the toilet itself, toilets that don't have those easier to clean uniform smooth surfaces, bathtubs and showers that lack the ability to heat or cool down the water without manually turning the water knob, a few current styles of bathroom rugs, tiled porous bathtub walls, triple prong outlets without GFCI tech, water gas boiler in UK bathrooms, and main bathroom mirror that doesn't have built in lighting. Main mirrors with some storage option will likely become more common, but not truly replace ones without storage for a really long time.

Carpeted bathrooms are recipes for *gross!* The little rugs can easily be washed.

I really remember toilet paper covers that looked like dolls and were crocheted, and colored toilet paper ❤ scented paper, too

I still have these glass block windows in the toilet of the house I am currently renovating. Just horrible and not good in terms of insulation. So I want them out and a proper window installed instead of a small titeable glassblock hatch
