It's still great how well this show is doing. I only wish I could say the same for the US show, as it didn't last too long the second time around. In addition to Mark appearing a few times, a couple of the other chasers were all-time "Jeopardy" champions Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings. The latter would eventually become the host of said show after the passing of legendary host Alex Trebek.

I feel like they’re being really harsh on Mark these days, seems like most weeks for a while now, they seem to show an episode of him losing. Far more than anyone else, for sure.

@ and let’s not forget that after he lost to that 17 not too long ago, he didn’t appear the following week, AND THE WEEK AFTER! Then he came back to face only 6 steps, and then followed by not one, but TWO 20 step losses, including this one!

@gameshowclipshe’s also the only chaser not to have caught 18 or over since after the summer break. It’s a shame watching him slip like this, but then again, maybe the reason for him facing such sub par teams in the latter half of s16 is because of a fair few losses to high scores. Mind you, he’s already faced two high targets in s17 and lost to both, so it’s not looking good either way.

It’s just people being silly and not understanding facts: It’s especially odd that Mark has lost 2 weeks in a row as they usually spread out the chaser losses evenly: Since August, each chaser has lost: 3 times- Shaun, Jenny, Darragh 2 times- Anne, Paul 5 times- Mark If they’d shown Anne and Paul losses 1 more time each instead of Mark twice in a row, it would have been completely even: 3 each.

@@qasimhussain1678 Yeah but my guess is the eps they switched would have been a Mark win and an Anne or Paul losses since that’s the pattern. But the 2 eps they switched last week meant a Mark loss and a Darragh ep. But they should have switched his loss this week so there weren’t 2 in a row.

But I think they've already shown a lot of the series 16 episodes, it's possible there might not be anymore losses for some of the other chasers as they approach the end of the series.

But they need to still spread out chaser losses evenly, which they usually do, but made an error as they switched last weeks ep to a loss but should’ve removed this weeks loss.
