It is probably also important to mention that the USA is once again a net energy exporter, and the largest producer of oil & gas on the planet with extraction occurring in an area thankfully devoid of international conflict unlike much of the middle east, being energy independent gives the US immensely more hard and soft power than say Europe or China as these places have to rely on foreign countries to supply them with the lions share of their energy, and this also brings in immense quantities of cash to the US as a bonus.

I think that people largely underestimate the presence that the US has. We are the world's military (albeit sometimes in places we shouldn't be, and spending more money on it than most would like). I didn't realize how high the US's standard of living was until I lived in the Philippines for seven months (the Philippines is amazing, though. Kindest and most sweet people I've ever met). If the US were to fall, then surely the world would follow. However, I don't think that having a large number of billionaires is really any metric on whether or not a country is a super power. All it means is that it's the easiest place to exploit out of with a reasonable comfort of living. When determining the world's superpowers, I think that we should look at things like: global influence of culture, other countries reliance on said superpower, and things similar to that.
@bighands692 жыл бұрын

This is because of the pandemic affecting results and could therefore be misleading. And if you felt it was because we are not far into 2022, then why not use the 2021 list? You are only BAPTISED IN ALMIGHTY NAME YHVH His only begotten sons name must stay in Hebrew for your forgiveness of your sins using HIS name means that you are sinless. PART OF THE SONS NAME MEANS YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN. If you pray to the Heavenly Father using YHVH pronounced Yud Hey Vav Hey this is only part of the Heavenly Father's name. After a while of prayer and fasting the Almighty will reveal, more of HIS whole name to you. You can use these 4 letters YHVH pronounced out to heal headache's, and other illness thru to healing miracle's. Start slow with prayers, and the power of healing will multiply greatly over time. @America is Better Than Europe 😂🤣😅 really? Please read this all you'll be interested, and if im mistaken anywhere point it out. You're profile name is what's worse. Its OK to be proud, but be proud in something good. A few problems the usa has are: Food deserts: this is when a large city has few food dispensaries. So it can take an hour and half from your home to the store and the same again back home approximately. Infrastructure: various buildings in various major cities are half built, abandoned or dilapidated, this is all residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Education: from nursery to 11 they're taught obscene things to do with gender and sexaulity. In high schools they're searched and go into shooter lock downs and universities leave 85-90% of students in crippling $100,000 debt or more. Hospitals: I don't even want to go into the 6-7 figure fee hospitals charge. Or the experimental drugs they issue at a 500%+ mark up! Police: not all, but I would say something like 25% of the U.S police force is corrupt, and even 0.1% is 0.1% too much. Homelessness: cities like NYC, L.A, SF, Vegas, Philly, Detroit, St Louie, Sacramento, San Diego, and more all have a major homeless problem. Food: all the artificial colours, preservatives, flavours, GMOs, genetically modified ingredients, etc Inequality: at least if everyone was doing alright then the usa would be alright, but it's not, 1% hold 99% of the wealth. The usa is nowhere near as good Europe, and although the usa makes money it doesn't share said money. So many companies in the usa earn billions of $s and pay nothing in taxes! You probably haven't even left the continent have you? If you had, you wouldn't have such a stupid user name! Various countries all over the world are far better then the usa! Including Canada, The UK, Japan, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Australia, NZ, Singapore, the list goes on! Come on dude! When the usa could be portrayed on TV how it wanted to look, the world thought the usa's Street were paved with gold, now people can see what it really is, a façade! Soccer/football is the 4th/5th sport in USA, and before 2010, wasn't even a top 5 sport in USA. USA doesn't have a soccer/football culture like most nations do. Yet even with that, USA is one of only 12 countries in the whole world to make the round of 16 in 3 of the last 4 World Cups (2010, 2014, 2022). USA has gone farther more consistently than about 90% of nations where soccer/football has been the top sport for over 100 years. I'm an American and my favorite sport is soccer/football, and I WISH soccer/football were always our top sport, because you could imagine USA would at least be among the top nations in the sport if it was. I think USA would historically be at Brazil's level but at minimum would have won at least a few World Cups

I'd argue that counting total Nobel prizes or Olympic medals does nothing to support the idea that USA is _still_ king of the world, as both counts about a century into the past. Taken as-is, they're more indicators of US' glorious past than present. It would be probably best to just use the most recent decade of Nobel prizes or the most recent Olympics for this purpose.

Who cares when we got them, we have them, and until somebody has more, it's irrelevant, you act like the US is seriously ever going to be #2 at anything, you really dont know do you? the people who make it what it is are here in shinning force, the world only hears the loud mouth bullshit, patriots dont talk, they act, in the past, present, forever.

The USA is still racking up Nobel Prizes and Olympic medals in the 21st Century, i.e., it's not just a 20th Century thing.

fair, but USA has topped the Olympic Medal Table in 6 of the last 7 Olympic Games (1996, 2000, 2004, 2012, 2016 and 2020). The one time in the last 7 that USA didn't win the medal table was in 2008 when China hosted, and USA still finished seconds and won the most overall medals (and I know we rank by gold medals, just showing that USA did pretty well even in its "worst" showing in last 30 years). So USA recently has been pretty dominant

The reserve currency, the US Dollar, is not back by gold. It's not backed by anything actually. They keep printing more and more and the value keeps going down. That's where inflation comes from. Not Ukraine.
@bighands692 жыл бұрын
It is backed by the US economy so stop with the stupid statements.
@TipsdotCash2 жыл бұрын
@@bighands69 what? The economy runs on the dollar but the dollar is backed by the economy? That’s not even close to the truth. The fed prints the dollar and types in their computers and that’s how the dollar is created. They print non stop and that’s where inflation comes from. They just make it out of nothing. In 1971, Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard and now the dollar is fiat backed by nothing but a false promise.
