I read the City of Brass in June and I'm hoping to finish it by the end of the year as well! And I'm dying to start on The Bargainer series since the first time you mentioned Rhysand 😂 I've been craving something like ACOMAF since I finished it at the beginning of the year, but I haven't found anything like it yet.

I also have a plan to finish the Daevebad trilogy. I read City of Brass when it first came out, and I'm planning on doing a reading vlog where I read the entire trilogy. Either that, or read one a month, it'll depend on what I do for your September Bookopolathon.

I think you would love the All Souls series by Deborah Harkness! It sounds a little bit like Serpent And Dove but just adult! I need to read: The Hunger Games, Serpent & Dove, Nevermore, Fortuna Sworn, The Books Of Earthsea, City Of Brass, Oz, Rhapsodic And The Final Empire! The only ones of those that I don’t already own are THG (I have the new book), Fortuna Sworn, Oz and Rhapsodic!

I want to reread the Hunger Games series as well but I don’t know. I think rereading books is always hit or miss. Recently I’ve stopped rereading books because the older I get the less into them I become and I just don’t want to ruin the nostalgia.

This post has Bride Kingdom spoilers I listened to Bridge kingdom and felt the pacing was off. As you mentioned Lara takes forever to catch on, but it was more than that to me because she's questioned her training. She had begged to be allowed to study other's cultures because it makes sense with a spy to be trained that way. She would have questioned more. Also, at the beginning of the third act, she's been found out, there's no reason to keep the pages with the invasion plan on it. Hell send a page and set up an ambush. Also, why not find her sisters when she's found out? Also also, the brief mention that the other king is smuggling, and allying with an enemy country comes out of nowhere and goes nowhere.
