Hi! for your monstera I would recommand to repot it in a "real" pot (clay/plastic) with holes on the bottom ans then put some clay balls for plants in the bottom to allow water to drain away and so that the water does not stagnate at the bottom of the pot and cause the roots to develop mold. Then you can put the new pot in the one you already have for the monstera (more beautiful). I personally have a medium sized pot for my monstera not too big not too small and I water it like 1x a week from the top (you can also do it from the bottom) but when i see the soil is dry when I put my finger in it, I water it in the day/next day. Hope it helps!

Hi! A few tips regarding your Monstera. It may have root rot so I would suggest taking it out of the pot to inspect the roots. If you see any mushy roots you will need to trim off before repotting. Ensure your potting medium is nice and chunky so the soil doesn't stay wet for long periods of time. Also make sure your pot has a drainage hole. I would consider repotting into a smaller pot as well as that one looks like it may be a few inches too big. Hope this helps 😊

Hi there! You could try putting the monstera onto a stool so that it can get more sunlight by the window. And if the situation of the droopy and brown leaves doesn’t get better, consider repotting to a pot with holes for water drainage (otherwise this could lead to root rot) and getting rid of the dying leaves to savage the more potential ones.

I'm not an expert but I do have over 60 plants and I would recommend inspecting the roots for root rot. Root rot can happen both by underwatering or overwatering but either way, if the roots are mushy and brown you'll have to cut off whatever roots are rotten, soak the remaining roots in a 50/50 mix of water and hydrogen peroxide for ~10 min, then you'll have to re-root the plant. I would recommend re-rooting in water so you can observe how the rooting process is going. Once you see new roots then you can re-pot into chunky mix with a pot with a drainage. If it is root rot, the soil it was in would have bacteria that causes root rot so I would recommend using new soil or sterilzing the soil if you are going to re-use.

Hi Julia. Your monstera needs drainage holes, it’s likely in too big of a pot and roots are rotting. The soil also looks too dense for the plant to breathe. I would recommend starting again or cutting / propagating in water with a smaller pot and looser soil. Good luck! :)

I think your plant has root rot. I'm not sure if your pot has holes at the bottom, but when you water it, you need to let that water drain out so that the roots aren't constantly sitting in water. You can always use your current pot as a cover pot but you definitely need to repot the plant into a pot with holes. When the soil is dry I take mine out of the cover pot and shower it in the bathtub. When everything is dry you can just place it back in the cover pot.

You need to add more potting soil to your plant. Make sure you have proper drainage. You need holes in the bottom of your pot. And it’s always good to all stones in the bottom before you add your potting soil. And put it on a plant stand to get it up off the ground. And a good plant food is to take 3 banana peels and put them in a container of water. Let soak for 3 days. Take the banana peels out and add more water then water your plants. It works wonders! i feel like at the point your monstera is at - you should cut all the not green leaves off and cut it up completely and then re-root it in the water. I think it'd be best because there's something going on in the roots.
