It is the stand alone multiplayer expansion that doesn't require anything from the original game.

I found that I had to move the bits and sets to a new box, with the original run. There was a smell with them of gasoline. Using dish soap to wash the dice and dial (dried out after), and putting the cards in a container with a drier sheet, seemed to fix the issue. I want to thank BGG forum for this solution. This is in addition to the airing everything out. It is a shame about the box though, because it is a really good box. The felt liner in it is a stink sink that held the smell. I hope future runs fix this issue.

I was exactly the person Mike described. I'm interested in Chip Theory Games' games but have been apprehensive about buying one of the large games. I bought this almost on a whim from my friendly local game store, only knowing it was a solo game by CTG. I've only played Solar Sentinels once so far and have enjoyed it.

Is that a new dice tower seal of excellence logo/art? Looks good!
@brianmattei71346 ай бұрын
Yeah just commenting here saying that the game/system is great. Hoplomachus deck ESPECIALLY. So, so much content in that Hoplomachus deck considering how different each end boss is. Solar Sentinels has the least variety out of all of them, but it's also much breezier than the Hoplomachus deck and easier to just jam a game. It's so good, kudos to Chip Theory truly.

experience comparison between this and One Deck Dungeon?
@thegamesninja31195 ай бұрын
Both are dice chucky. One Deck one grows the dice pool used to get stronger. With 20 Strong, one uses other modifiers with a fixed pool.
@blindGuardianGR5 ай бұрын
Having played both, I like this more. Both have things to manipulate the dice once you roll them but 20strong is more solid.

Sounds like the issues are similar to the TMB issues. If it's as fun then maybe the TMB crowd will be fine with them. Lose on turn one or know you are not likely to win due to bad luck.

I washed the dice with dish soap and put everything in a new box. The gasoline smell gets absorbed into the felt liner of the box. Wash the dice, store the original Rulebook in with drier sheets, and then move everything to a new box.
