Nice video. Good details. I also think that goreng and the guy with the knife actually had a decent relationship. Notice how when they both got put really low in the first movie. He said he would hold out as long as he could before cutting him. And even sharing pieces of gorengs skin with him. Not as bad as just going for the kill.

btw the director said the first one is open ended, but for him Goreng is dead, that does not mean he is officially dead, I mean it is most likely but but in the end it is for the us decided it. So perenpua it is the same. It is open to the posiblity that in future films they talk more about this. Lets remenber that in the second one when they drop the burn girl when it reaches the bottom they show you a moment of what it looks like cannibals eating the remains. The end of both films are open ended with the destinies both characters. Im not saying you are wrong with whato you say, just correcting the detail about the director comment. This is what I found some time ago.

At the beginning of the movie we see the blind guy and his crew at the bottom of the pit and some of them rushing for a corpse that had just fallen down. How was the blind guy able to get to the upper levels to administer justice? It is said that he does this once a month. They could have used a rope were those at the upper levels pull them up but this is unlikely the case as we know most of the barbarians were on the lower levels (also depending on timing anyone doing this could be killed by the returning platform). They could have also used the platform itself by riding it or tying a rope to it. My concern with the platform however is the speed at which it elevates because if that speed continuous all the way to level 0 then anyone on it would be thrown upwards and killed on the ceiling . The only way the child survives is if the platform slows down before reaching level 0.

The authors didn't specify when it happened exactly so this scene could be year(years) after the story of the second movie.

The other sequels will be terrible. We've seen it time and time again. An interesting movie will come out with a unique premise and they'll capitalize on the success by releasing a string of mediocre sequels. Final Destination is a good example. These sequels will exhaust the cool premise and make them more and more wacky and nonsensical. Platform 2 made a good start on this with the faux Christian cult. We now know the pit is somewhere in space and the reason behind it's existence will probably be some pretentious, confusing, philosophical word salad. I'm all in though. I love bad Netflix movies. Keep em coming!
