I don’t know if anyone mentioned it, but catfish isn’t worse than salmon. The picture you put up was of raw catfish rather than cooked catfish. Cooked catfish is actually identical to cooked salmon hunger-wise.

I didn't know the Shark wouldn't attack your raft if you weren't on it. This wasn't always the case. Way back when large islands were first introduced it was possible to come back to a half destroyed raft. It's this reason why I always get enough metal to armor my raft before I go to large islands. But now I don't have to. Thanks.

The shark do attack the raft when you are not on it, it ate several pieces when I was on the island with the city under the dome with my son yesterday... :( same today when we were at the construct island.. -.- we were gonna take out the big shark boss and the raft was damaged when we got back to it -.-

It’s probably because you were on the island but still close enough to your raft for the shark to trigger, try parking a littler farther away from any island you are going to explore and this will not happen

Catfish seem to do the same as salmon. You showed the raw stats, not the cooked ones. I noticed as you ate it your thirst didn't go down as fast as it should have if 10 thirst was consumed every bite.

That last bit about the firework is disappointing. As soon as you said it, i got hyped to produce a bunch and go hunting, and then immediately let down by the idea that nothing useful can be killed by them. It would finally give us a real reason to produce fireworks during survival mode

I have never seen anyone else use or comment on something I found out about navigation. You can get to any destination by going in the opposite direction. Helpful, I guess for new people heading for Balboa for the first time and want to save wood.

Good point- the receiver has a max read distance, and it will shift story islands if you get too far out of the range to make them always accessible!

6:44 in declaring catfish worthless, you bring up the info card for RAW catfish. Raw salmon I believe has the same poor effect, while cooked catfish I think has the same beneficial effect as cooked salmon. I haven't tested, but this is what the wiki says also. I Wish eels were still in the game. It would add a new threat to exploring and would offer up some cool items, Like an Eel head, and probably Vinegoo like the Anglers. Maybe even Eel meat.

i'm now doing a playthrough with a friend after having played before release by myself, i didn't even realise they were this rare but she caught the duck in first 4 hours of the playthrough, as well as a shoe and in a later session caught another shoe. only now do i find out how rare these items actually are...

This was a super enjoying video! I really enjoyed it and learned much from it. I have recently started playing raft and I am already in love with it. Also, I play raft on my schoollaptop, so I don't really have good fps even with the tab half closed. Do you know some tips to improve your fps in raft?

Generally, water is the big culprit for me. I tend to play with water on fast, and that helps quite a bit! If nothing else, I'd investigate the "Better FPS" mod

The scrap duck being that rare seems a little weird. I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just saying my experience is a little different. Granted on the game I am currently playing I only have one but I remember a year or 2 ago, back when I first started playing this game, I caught like 5 of those things in a 10 minute timeframe. I remember because I was starting to get pissed off because I was starving and I was pulling up nothing but old shoes and the scrap ducks lol
