Speaking as a college graduate, DEFINITELY bring a couple pairs of flip flops/sandals with you to college: one pair for the bathroom and another to wear around campus casually. Guys especially should bring a couple pairs of sandals with them to college b/c men's dorm bathrooms are DEFINITELY not the cleanest places in the world (I'm a guy myself, so I should know)

If you do want to use Microsoft word, at least on the newest version there is an auto save feature so you don’t have to worry about saving as much
