Thank you for this.I needed to hear this. I'm married to my computer work station. I can't trade and travel. Yes - my trading strategy provides a 100% daily profit and it's considerably more than a corporate job in my field of profession; however, I created yet another JOB for myself. I am starting to get into trading, but everytime I talk to ppl they all tell me how 99% lie about all their profits and over the course of years nearly all of the traders quit because day trading is not profitable at all. Also, a question comes to my mind, if you are making money and know the secret, why would you tell it to anyone publicly. Some of it makes no sense and makes me not step into trading. Literally everyone is selling courses, I am assuming they all only make money through their courses and lie about making money via trading.

Great interview. Good general strategies and some insights how Huddie formed his new short trading strategies. I'm doing way more intense tracking next year. Hopefully, get into backtesting more data to get to better performance. I think i bottomed this year out, but very dissatisfying vs my first year of a small profit that I used to get a nice watch. Hope to make it big in 2025. I think minimizing social is extremely wise. I work a dead end job to have mornings free to trade, and waste time on social media daily. Zero benefit besides blowing time. I also listen to audio books all day at the job, but I've heard my 3-4 trading books 100s of times at this point.

Actually me the opposite, turned from a fully systematic trader over 10 years with little success I turned fully to discretionary now and I put my trading capital of 1k Euro to over 300k Euro now since 01/2023, so in 2 years. And I am very sure that I will never turn into systematic styles because I know there is no fine strategy working outside of the backtesting area going forward in realtime trading environment. And I have seen nearly everything what is possible on systematic side, with Sharpe 5+ on swing and 10+ on daytrading with 10 seconds charts etc. I would say never trade systematic, the more discretionary you trade the better as bigger market players are not able to replicate your strategy or style and therefore erase any alpha found on the systematic side. My two cents.

On the third point I disagree aswell. You can travel when you made it, because you can afford it. After the famous 4% rule you can travel lifelong when you made around $2 million, then you have $80k before taxes per year for travel expenses. And you are not dependent on your short term trading outcome anymore, which is also relaxing, especially when you travel and start to worry about your trading results.

Here are my trades in brief. Trading NVDA fri 1/10/25. Buying and selling over 11 trades. End of day dn $1000 when i should have made $1000.00. Humble T I've used all your indicators, 20 da MA VMAC, RSI, MACD with NVDA. I've been losing for a month. Each time trying to regain what i lost, to the tune of dn $30k total just with this stock. I really can't believe any of this. That so many claims about being a trader are made with nothing but circular talk to support it. Do a vid that shows exactly whats going on on a trade, $ put up, how the stock moves after you buy, does it go up or down right after. I will post my experience as a retail buyer, trader if you wanta call it that. Your a trader if you make money your nothing but a loser if you lose.
