I don't usually like to comment on youtube but you deserve some kudos for this... I know bars this size are somewhat unnecessary and uncomfortable, but for youtube this is a real crowd pleaser... Even those of us really interested in the chemistry and technique sometimes can't help but want to see big fat bar as a guilty pleasure, and man, you did it! You know the risks involved better than anyone but from the audience perspective, what a treat...

That was fantastic sir! Thank you so much. It was absolutely perfect. I’ll call this a redemption bar from the last big bar that had the acetylene scar. I can’t imagine the stress of handling over $45k of molten metal while trying to film. Thank you for venturing outside of your comfort zone for us. This was a spectacular series. I think I held my breath for about 3 minutes.

Back in 1970 gold was “fixed” at $35 per ounce. So 23.5 ounces of gold back then was seven hundred eighty seven bucks. By contrast, a million bucks in the bank today will buy the same amount of goods and services that twenty grand did back then. That’s how much our currency has declined over the last fifty years.

Mine a smart one too. In middle school I kept telling her that she was smarter than most others. Didn’t know if she was or not. But I think it helps build their confidence. She graduated sixth in her class of six hundred. Then went on to a BA in Music. Now she has a Masters in Nursing. Sorry for bragging, I can’t help it because I’m so proud of her!

I saw that too and thought it was prudent both to have one close by and to show it on camera. It was good to have it nearby in case someone got funny ideas while he was pouring it. It was good to show it in the video to deter anyone who might get a funny idea in the future.

You rocked this one Sreetips. Loved the build up to the final pour. I understand the anxiety about getting it right. I did a little experiment and melted down 3.5 oz of ingots to make a round by melting it in a massive chefs potato from Maine and it came out awesome. Had to work the borax off the top a little but what a feeling after your done. Your bar came out beautifully. Be proud. God bless

Prospectors should remember this color. Look for it in the wild when out in the field. Unmistakable. Seen soils very much this color near rivers. Look for it on bedrock.

I love your work/media. It makes one of the highlits of my life each time I watch the next epesode. My father-inlaw was a chemist and work in met and chem labs. I and my wife worked in milling and I used to fix the lab equipment, mill and mine as an electrician and on to instrument mechanic/technician. So I understand what you are up to. We used to use 600 tons of sufuric acid a day plus hundreds of other chemicals, 400 tons per hour of earth feed into the mill and 18000 pounds per 8 hours shift out of the facility. I never tire or you greatness. Keep it up as long as possible. I will be watching.
