20 Year Old Ford Focus Deep Clean - Exterior Auto Detailing

This 2001 Ford Focus is about to get its first detail ever in 20 years! This video shows a thorough deep cleaning of the entire exterior of the car: deep cleaning of the wheels, washing, decontaminating and polishing the paintwork with a one-step polish and wax. To top it off I also revived the faded plastic trim on the car. Of course a lot more could be done to this car, but after this treatment the car already looked so much better!

I love an old Focus, thanks for doing such a great job one one. Chris Harris recently said that he hasn't driven a hot hatch that handled better than a MKI Ford Focus, and if he went broke and only had a few quid, that would be the car he would buy.

I had one of these, in the same colour (Moondust Silver), and I cherished it, washing it religiously,. I found this colour of paint was really forgiving for minor imperfections. Unfortunately my Focus did rust away like many of the other Fords of its era. Fantastic video, and what a transformation! :)

here in the states i have an 03 focus unfortunately rust has overcome most of it, mechanically it is wonderful, but Michigan is a nightmare and I am not the original owner, it breaks my heart because it still drives wonderfully, but its days are numbered, I can watch this and remember what my little car once was. .

I.ve got a 2001 focus ghia done 70.000 miles 1.6 petrol i love driving it lent it to my son as i also own a 2008 E93 BMW 2.0 Msport convertible which is a great car in its self only done 37.000 miles..but want the truth i can.t wait to get my focus back as i said its a great little run around and i honestly enjoy keeping it in good condition with no problems....

Look at the suds on the tyres. On a genuinely neglected car, the suds would be dark grey and it’ll take repeated brushing and flushing to finally get the suds looking whitish.
