It's probably either from a friend who hunted bear years ago, or he had it the whole time, but got caught up with other orders people requested him to clean the skulls? Who knows.

Are you ever able to save the nasal turbinate with your method, or is that mainly achievable only with dermestid beetles? Either way, your work is incredible. I love collecting skulls and your videos are inspiring me to want to start doing them myself on the animals we hunt.

Awesome work, as always! I'll admit that I was pretty surprised to see all of that red meat after 20+ years in the freezer! Also, perhaps you could assist with a question that's been plaguing me for a while now...I know that you mostly work on wild animals, so i don't know if you would know anything about this. Say I wanted to Euro a skull from a horse than was chemically euthanized. Would the sodium pentobarbital that is used affect how you would handle the processing in terms of handling? I know that the flesh from a chemically euth'ed animal is unsafe to eat for both human and animal alike, but I am unsure if it would affect how the flesh reacts to the OxyClean and the peroxide, if at all. Thanks in advance!
@WHITEBONE7 жыл бұрын
+WarChant dA Thank you. I have done horses euthanized. Same exact process. No concerns on cleaning.
@CuSidhe7 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! I've learned a lot from watching your work, and I'm eager to give it a go myself. I'll probably start with something smaller and less hard-to-find before I go as big as a horse skull for the time being. :) Have a good one!

Any recommendations for really delicate skulls? I’m talking mice, a pressure wash would obliterate those things and pretty much everything else in the video would as well. Leaving it out? It gets stained and stolen or cracked or lost or rotten. Personally I find dermestid beetles to be the best bet, but what about people who don’t have beetles?
