It was so smooth yet violent at impact, which is what you want in a golf swing

Arthur Mesa Precisely I was closing my eyes listening to his swing and it was the same as a the snap of a bull whip. The speed with which it takes a bull whip to snap is Incredibly violent!

Tiger from the PGA Championship 1999 to the US Open 2002 where he won 8 out of 11 majors was insanely dominant. Then he changed his swing it all felt different after that: 2-year drought before he won his 4th Masters in 2005. He was consistent at the majors the next few years and still winning, but he wasn't running away with the majors like he was in the early 2000s.

Changed his swing because his back was already fckd. Can’t take away what he already accomplished though. Legendary

Yeah, you only have so many swings like that in you. It works, but your body isn't meant to handle all that stress in a compromised position 10,000 times.

This swing never injured him . The swing changes after this era and weight room did the damage. This swing is as you said “fluid”, balanced and a piece of art 💯👍🏼

How repeatable his swing was then. I always wonder how far he would have gone if he had stayed with Butch Harmon.
@maxcaysey2844 Жыл бұрын
Its difficult to say. Some say he would have won 20 majors... including Hank Haney and others say he wold have been even more beat up and the swing changes came about to protect his body. For all his talent, he apparently does not have the best genes... I mean sure he maybe trained too hard when he was younger, but someone like Gary Player or Phil Michelson have also been training and playing golf their entire life with hardly any injury at all. Is that genes or wrong training or simply just wear and tear who knows... probably all of the above. The point is simply that it would seem that his body from a pretty young age was giving him issues!
