This is just a side note for Kyle if he's interested. Were he talks about storing and holding that angle I 100% agree with him that that is fantastic for power! Whereas a finesse swing would be a little more of that throwing feel and sinking that up. I honestly feel like this is why a lot of people that have control don't have power in a lot of people that have power don't have control they don't understand it's too different moves. So a lot of the amateurs out there don't load their wrists that way in the transition like he's saying increasing the extension of that trail wrist in the transition and in the downswing etc. Most amateurs are decreasing their Trail risk extension in the downswing and catching the club up which is more of a flick or a throw etc. For short game however that flicking motion is actually very useful in a lot of short game shots! If you watch Dan Greaves information with release 123 it actually ties That finesse feeling together very well. Yet the power move is the exact opposite.

Great video. I’ve always tried keeping my arms in front of my chest, but the right arm separation move just gave me 10mph more ball speed in one range session.

Great video Kerrod. Love your chat with Kyle and his thoughts. There are so many different tidbits in here that are applicable to so many golfers, including me when I am a golfer. Anyway, great questions and thoughts!

I would like to know what causes the left foot to kick out. Does Kyle push off the left foot so hard that he is actually jumping off the ground and then body rotation takes it way left. Or does he just pick it up and move it to avoid torque on the knee.
@kerrodgraygolf5 ай бұрын
As Kyle moves from backswing to downswing, he places an immense amount of pressure down into his left foot from which as he begins to rotate the pure amount of force into the ground pushes back causing his left leg to straighten and push away from the ball.

Awesome Kerrod and Kyle this is really different from what I've been watching on the techniques to hit it far (aka vertical GRF on the downswing) makes a lot of sense stretch and squeeze the trail abs/obliques and large ROM of the right (trail) shoulder as it is essentially a throw! I could watch that swing all day!

Definitely a weird feeling in the beginning, but the proof is in the pudding!

Great! I can feel it with a shaft on shoulders or single arm swing drills but yeah I have trouble doing it two hands on the grip but I can see it with Kyle DTL wow it looks awesome! Thanks again Kerrod!

Kyle is also tall, young, and jacked !!! Don't forget the young man can flat out ball on a golf course. God bless him and good luck to all the mere mortals out there.

That's very long ball😮 question is how consistent can it be on the course?😅

Spot on. Never tuck anything under or between your arms. Nicklaus and Daly knew it with the flying elbow.

100% agree
@Ewahl913 ай бұрын
yeah, for chipping maybe its good but for full swings you cant restrict your arms so much or you end up chunking and what not

Flying elbow à la Fred Couples makes that move easier, I think that's where Fred gets his massive shoulder turn

Not a reverse pivot, it's a recentring movement 👍

Truest and most depressing thing Kyle states is that his swing has hardly changed since he was 6 years old! great video tho Everyone at my club lower than my 5hcp started golf as weak kids there's a lesson im that Plus like ive learnt too, they can all bounce a ball on a wedge! most of you watching this video ie over 7 hcp cant! most wont get tat either

Studies have shown the Matthew Effect too, starting your kids late to school when they are bigger than other kids makes them get lots bigger and smarter!

It looks like he is hitting off his right foot. His front foot moves tob to the left so it seems like his weight would have to be on his right foot.
