Do they have tombstone options?
@k-sell40653 ай бұрын
Hey Ron . May I make suggestion at to making it easier to line the holes up on the staircase install. At the top where the bolt holes are. You could weld a hook plate to latch on to the lip of the bunker and that would help line the holes up and not having the staircase hanging and swinging once it’s set down in the channel that lines up the holes. Once it’s hooked at the top of the bunker. It can be set in place and all you have to do is shift it a little to line the holes up.

if you guys had built the stairs to have a metal lip at the top of the bottom section of the stairs that would hook on to the breast of the vault it would allow you to drop it down like you did with the same angle and just hook on the top and as you lower it and release the pressure it would automatically go into place then you could bolt it in. You get perfect alignment every time and this is something you can set up at the warehouse before you even dispatch the parts.

$200,000 to sustain your life for another couple of weeks until you go batshite crazy and leave your bunker anyways ?🤣👌🏼
@ar007r19 күн бұрын
@@Tyrone-cd4ji how long do you think emergencies last for? sounds like you havent really thought through any emergency situations that can happen depending on your region or property type. Thats strange considering tens of thousands are currently stranded in the US with zero government response where looting, armed robbery and crime is going rampant because of supplies. Even in an extreme case like nuclear fallout 2 weeks is all you would need to not die. Per square foot of living space 200k is only about double the cost of what I paid for my area per square foot of house above ground. Id imagine if I had a second basement created in my current house the construciton costs would be well over 200k and it wouldnt provide half the things a bunker does. Just the underground storage alone is worth is in many instances to hide backup generators and supplies. A lot of people dismiss things that they cant afford or because their everyday lives are already close enough to an emergency compared to demographic that this would be aimed at.... oh I just noticed your name is Tyrone. Now I especially want one of these just to put my bike in.

I do wonder about the possibility of buying a plot of land and just installing a large bunker instead of a traditional house. Could you live in a fully underground bunker safely and comfortably? I'm thinking this would be an incredibly green option. By living underground in the bunker, not only are you always protected from disaster because you're literally living in a bunker, but the ground temperature should almost negate the need for heating and cooling. With satellite internet, solar power and batteries, a rain water catch system, and internal and surface greenhouses + livestock, you could live a luxurious 21st century life fully off the grid while remaining totally safe.

This design is good for wine and secret rooms and shelters. But why does Atlas not also have a design for lead acid battery banks? Temperature control would be so much more effective, extending the life of the batteries. As those batteries need water, an overhead tank would be under your feet and above the bunker, allowing gravity to assist. Hydrogen is very explosive but it is also the easiest to capture and to ventilate up out of the battery bank. Keeping those batteries out of the house is a good idea for safety. Keeping the batteries underground is a good idea for longevity and possible toxic hazard events. If I get rich when I sell Vegas Pay domains to a corporate casino, I'd think these bunkers are exactly what I need for underground storage of off grid lead acid batteries. I like those better than lithium because the amps just can't be beaten. Instead of "escape hatch" just need a toxic waste container removal for when/if a battery spills
