When you test it. Find out if you wouldn't mind. If Steam games work. Find out Arcade Games like Killer Instinct works good. That game is a good way to find out how fast it is FPS. Also if GameCube games play good. Cause if all those things run great then at that price point I would definitely buy it.

I know I wasn’t happy about the price, I managed to get mine on sale for $250, but it has made gaming so much easier for me. I don’t always have access to a tv. This helps get my gaming in.

I have an ABXYLUTE and love it. And I'm someone who owns several PC-based handhelds like the Ayaneo GEEK 1S. My issue with PC-based handhelds is their weight, heat, fan noise and limited battery life. Not to mention the time wasted installing games on multiple devices, having to spend time optimising settings to them to run well on limited hardware, having to transfer your saves between your main PC and the handheld etc. It's all a huge pain in the ass. The nice thing about something like the ABXYLUTE is that you don't have to do any of that, once you've got your streaming apps set up, you can just pick it up any time and play your games on it. It's light, comfortable and has 8 hours of battery life, which is nice. Of course you're not playing games locally on the device, but honestly, within your house the experience should be pretty decent (read: better than what the lower spec PC based handhelds could achieve as you're running everything at 1080p60 at the highest settings). The only thing I'm not 100% thrilled about is the DPAD, it's okay, but it's not great. Hopefully they'll improve that in the next handheld they release.

I'd love it if Microsoft got in this space, and gave us a proper handheld for Xbox Cloud Gaming/remote play. I know there's the controller and phone solution, but I find that cumbersome. Would be cool if Sony got back into it as well, but I can't see that happening anytime soon.

@@OHCAM5 If you're talking about the xCloud app, on iOS anyway, there is no official supported app. Apple won't approve it. You have to create a shortcut for it on the Home Screen instead. I believe Android has an actual app for Xbox Cloud Gaming.

@@OHCAM5 Oh, on console, I've had around 1 or 2 crashes. It wasn't a big deal I just went back to the Xbox home screen, then quit the game and tried again, and it worked. I'll only use Cloud Gaming when it's a game I don't want to commit to downloading/installing, or a game you have to play for Game Pass Ultimate Quests every week. I think Xbox Game Streaming is still in beta, and I know Wi-Fi can be inconstant for it. I've never tired it on mobile though because my 2 controllers I have don't have Bluetooth support, and I don't have one of those clips/holders for my phone. I must be one of the rare few who's not had a problem with the Xbox Elite Series 1 controller.

@@ObiWanJabronE I don't think the streaming is in beta anymore. The beta was a seperate app and now it's integrated into the xbox app. And considering there are third party apps like XBXPlay that can stream at 1080p and can stream xbox 360 games both which the official app don't do.

This could be killer if the price is right. I'd say $150 would be perfect, but I expect $200, which is just a bit high given the specs. What I'm most interested in is the controls, especially the analog sticks and triggers. Handhelds often go for smaller sticks, like the Switch, which aren't great for shooters.

Cloud gaming is only for those with pretty much perfect low latency internet connections, a large part of the world doesn’t have that. Whenever I am gaming on a handheld I am away from the internet most of the time, out in the sticks. I find it prudent not to trust public WiFi and VPN solutions aren’t always possible on the handhelds and more lag / latency is introduced. So no thanks to cloud gaming - which is possibly wonderful in many a major US city, Silicon Valley or close to the Cupertino hub.

Logitech is such a juice store. I've been trying to get a G Cloud in Germany for weeks. They probably won't release it in Europe (in my opinion), but also refuse to offer international shipping (which could give their sales numbers a good boost). Even on Amazon they have disabled international shipping. I've rarely seen such a stubborn company. I would be very interested in the handheld. I like to tinker with handhelds and always try to get the maximum out of them through settings, apps and tricks. I would have been interested in the G Cloud. Anyway, if anyone here ever think of selling the G Cloud, please think of me :D

The G cloud is a tablet that conviently has controllers attatched to the body. I does everything a tablet can do, plus has better display and speakers than most tablets of the same spec. In fact, at full price, the gcloud is still cheaper than most tablets with the same processor but offers great quality. I think if ppl start looking at the G cloud as a replacement for their tablet instead of seeing it as a handheld streaming console, it would justify the price a bit more

yea but those are smaller devices, less comfortable to hold long term and we have already seen build quality issues with retroid. Good luck then returning it (much less getting one with all the delays). I was with you on this.... I tried everything else, all the snap on controllers for my pixel 7 (it works and I can play but it wasn't something I wanted to do for hours, also annoying to have to assemble the whole thing if I only wanted to play on a whim). Ultimatley I gave in an bought the logitech to try, and goddamnit this thing is awesome. Would I mind if the price was lower? sure. but its very comfortable, bl3 for hours was no problem. Cloud gaming is solid and it connects and loads faster then my iphone 13pro and pixel 7. The screen is awesome and no black bars, you get the full 7 inch display and this makes a huge difference when your running and gunning. The retrpod and anbernic don't fulfill this need whatso ever. so I could get those and spend less. but I would still be spending 150 on an experience I am not going to enjoy vs 300 (on sale at best buy) on one that I will. with the confidence that if something goes wrong, its a quick 10 min trip to best buy to replace. Worth it.

in my country the gcloud is about 250 dollars, my pc is way too overpowered for games but i dont play much on it (i use it for work 3d rendering) so i wanted to look at handhelds to basically just use steam link. Tho steamdeck is amazing, i’m a girl with small hands so gcloud makes the most sense. it’s lighter and just suit my needs

I wonder if Tencent is behind this company as well, I'm guessing it has the same downsides as the g-cloud like the lack of wifi-6 and video out? I got an Odin base last march, cost me around $350cdn all included, it's fast, portable, has video out, GREAT battery life, I'm quite happy with it!

I've tried cloud gaming over the years and it has gotten better. However, for me it is still laggy as hell and I have a mid tier powerful router in the home with Google Fiber. Even streaming in my own home isn't very good. When it gets to the point where I have a tough time telling the difference I'll be all in. For now I just can't take it seriously. I like the design of this product though. If it runs stuff native pretty well and it's less than $200 I'd consider it.

Cloud streaming is a red herring. Connecting to your home gaming PC that has like a good GPU like rtx 4090 is the real winning move using the G Cloud. Zero latency compared to cloud subscription services.

Thats sorta the caveat everyone misses. You said it perfectly here. It runs great FOR 150.... thats not the same as saying it runs great. The 300 dollar price tag on logitech g cloud (bestbuy) is totally a barrier I wont' deny that. But this does cloud gaming great period. Its comfortable, loads great, no latancy. Its basically a handheld switch for my xbox now. what people miss is there a segment of people that don't want something to be ok for a certain price, they want it to be great hands down. In terms of cloud gaming (a small market for sure), the logitech g cloud is really great. hopefully it sells well enough that they improve on it and figure out how to cut down on costs.

It worked great for some games ( played immortal fenyx rising completely) but when I got to more fast paced games like bl3 the smaller screen was killing me. The Logitech 7 inch screen has been amazing for fast paced games

Well.. I would have had a review up this last Tuesday, as that was the date they said for the embargo... then last minute they changed it. I don't betray embargo dates when given one... so I will wait to post the review as they asked. I dont think this will be a case of selling out fast... it will be a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter..

My experience with the Deck was pretty terrible. I have ADHD which means for me if I can tinker, I will, so I spent 90% of my time tinkering and many times not getting a satisfactory result. I only play my analogue pocket now, no real tinkering really, just play. I will just play my PC games on my desktop.

It is not a clone... Actually, One company decided to sell the same ideas to other companies... Then... Each buyer Companies has to come with their own spec base on RND... However, Lenovo version didn't come out...but the Devices were released unofficially... Wonder why...??? 8gb ram and 128gb internal storage capacity would be better... But G-Cloud doesn't have video with that SD CPU is a bummer 😞... Abxylute with MT CPU has video out...and more then 4gb file support which still...🧐🤔
