Good review Bradley, I've never considered a pellet burning stove for outside use, until now. Thanks!
@PortlyGentleman4 ай бұрын
They are honestly cheaper than propane I think a little bit better heat considering its form factor. I honestly highly recommend them, especially one this inexpensive.

Got 1 in my shop so far so good, it does smoke a bunch when it dies but it's got wheels if things get edge

I just got one and I absolutely love it, but I can’t figure out how to do the handle on the door😢

Hopefully you figured out the handle. I should have shown that better in the video

Looks good but do you turn it off?

There's a flap in the pellet Hopper slide that down and it will stop the floats. After that it takes about 10 minutes to burn out

I might have to check one of those out

Hey Bradley, can you please tell me what the diameter of the chimney pipe is? Good review, i appreciate your insights.

I believe the pipes are 4 in

I have a pellet insert in my fireplace, and a hot water pellet boiler, I saw this and had to have it, ill use it to heat up my 3 car garage while I'm working on a car. My torpedo heater just stopped working and instead of sinking money and time into it, I figured i have plenty of pellets, so why not have a outdoor pellet stove. Now its time for me to try my stove out.
@hmmmm9821Ай бұрын
how much heat do you get? how close do you need to sit next to it?
@beattyj84 ай бұрын
Looking for one of those but I have a Trex deck and don't wanna melt/warp it. Thinking a reflector pad on the bottom and another one on the back between the heater and the railing spindles may be all that's needed. I also grill on the deck and having a 2' gap between the grill and the spindles seems to be enough, though that's usually on for only 20-30 mins, guessing we'd use something like this for a few hours if we're sitting out with company. Any thoughts?
@PortlyGentleman4 ай бұрын
Honestly, I don't think you'll have enough heat transfer to melt your deck. Underneath my heater it's still cool to the touch. Having said that, your experience could be different than mine. They make things you can put down to protect whatever is underneath the heater.

How much smoke does it put out? Looking to put in under my screen porch but don’t want to get smoked out
@PortlyGentleman6 күн бұрын
The smoke is pretty minimal depending on the pellets you get of course.. when it goes out or stops feeding and then relights it does tend to smoke pretty good

How quickly does this run through the hopper on high? We're considering this for an outdoor rink and want to keep staffing the fire down. Thanks!
@PortlyGentleman3 ай бұрын
I think on high it'll run for 3 or 4 hours. That's honestly, usually the only way I run it low works but big fire is more fun lol

How do you turn it off or does it have to burn out

There's a flap in the pellet Hopper. Push that down. After that it'll take about 10 minutes to burn out

Hi Bradley. I was looking to get the Even Embers Chiminea model, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere. I'm worried that this model is too tall, since my patio ceiling is approx 100 inches, and this unit is 80 inches. Here's my question... There is a middle chimney piece that you installed on this model. Is it possible to not install the middle chimney, and simply install the top chimney to the bottom chimney? Does it look like they would slide together easily? I appreciate you taking a look and letting me know.
@misteraricАй бұрын
You can absolutely not install the middle piece and it works. It ends up being shorter, that’s what I did. Don’t get the chimnea, I bought it and the heat output is way less

Just to confirm…the pellet hopper…does it require electricity?

No at all 0 electricity 🍻

I see you have reviewd this one, as well as the shorter Chiminea model. Which one has more heat output? I am looking to use on a covered/screened-in patio

Chiminea 🍻
@misteraricАй бұрын
I returned my chimnea because it did not put out the same heat as the original model of these.
@Blanaba2 күн бұрын
@@PortlyGentlemanouch. I have the chiminea and the heat output even on high with flames nearly coming out the top cover isn’t great if the outdoor temp is below 55F.
@robertwiseman20612 ай бұрын
We just got one and I am apprehensive of putting it together since it states in the instructions not to operate it on the wood deck or under an overhang. Do you have any thoughts on this?
@lionstonylb2 ай бұрын
A grill mat or some large patio bricks would definitely be an easy precaution

I have the one similar to this one, the $400 one, and I also bought the chimnea this year. I returned the chimnea. It looks and works nicer, but the heat output just isn’t the same.
