Just found your channel. Came because of the Neotec NH843 chainsaw. But honestly, the sage wisdom you provided on many subjects here during this video should be required on two stroke engine education! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us here on KZbin! Now subscribed and looking forward to watching more in the future. God bless!

Welcome aboard! Hey Joe. Sorry for the delayed response, we haven't even touched youtube for over a year, been very busy around here and we just havent had time to devote to it. Thansk for the compliments and I am by no means an authority on 2 strokes but try and learn what I need too. This little 843 I recently grenaded a few weeks back. I actually ran it to lean on the high screw and she ran a few hundred rpms to high and floated the rod around to much. Surprisingly it happened so fast it didnt damage the cylinder or even the piston but did the cases and of course the rod. It is a pitty as this little saw had great power and really was in a league of its own especially for the price! I'll get another one one of these days but we can make due without it for now. Its a great little saw and hated when it blew up, I believe it was my fault as I did adjust it to run higher simply because it could and I payed the price for it. Thanks for commenting, Ric

have you tried the mod of cutting the gasket for xtorq?

I've got a couple of NeoTec saws including a 895 I bought for a sawmill. All run great. I replaced the 36 in bar with a NeoTec 28in and full chisel. $50 on Amazon. The NeoTec bars are as good as Total or Oregon imho
@CornucopiaFarmstead2 ай бұрын
Happy to hear that bud. We don’t have the 895 but I would love to run one and eventually own one but since we have so many I can’t really justify buying another saw. I’m curious how well the 895 runs against the 660 clones. We typically don’t run the 90+cc saws unless it is a lot of big wood rounds, having the sawmill is nice for milling too though. I can’t really complain other than the chain adjusters the saws and bars are great, the FT saws aren’t bad but the FT bars I can’t say are that good at all. Rails are pretty thin, bars are thin too. Over all, still can’t complain over the entry price! Thanks for commenting! Tic

In all the NH 843 vids i notice that it has a burble under certain loads that reminds me of a dirt bike with a chipped reed valve slightly popping back through the carb ? , is it just me ? The Husqvarnas don't seem to do it ,

My echo 341 has a reed valve and it has a little wood chip stuck in it and it was acting like that

I think the strato port is blocked on yours. I've watched a few videos, and they all come down from cut/rev to idle slow, like they are lean. The ones with the gasket fixed and the strato opened, as it should be seem to run correct. Take your carb and intake block off, and see if the gasket is blocking the strato port.

Hello from northern Canada :) Some nice Cedar there, great review :) and very right on the mix oil, its like at 11lbs I think my 445e-tec -50CC Husky weighs in at 16lbs with 20" bar, & yes at $525 ca you keep it locked up :)

Are you saying the saw weighs about 11.5 lbs with the bar and chain? Do you happen to know the weight of the powerhead only?
@CornucopiaFarmstead2 жыл бұрын
I will weigh the saw later today to get that information for you. It will be this evening when I return from work. Thanks for commenting! Ric

I have just weighed the saw with fuel and oil, bar and chain installed it weighs 12.4lbs. With no bar or chain still full of fuel and oil the powerhead with cover weighs 11lbs head only. Hope this helps! Thanks for commenting 👍and subscribing! All the best. Ric

Any vibration tech in those saws?
@CornucopiaFarmstead2 жыл бұрын
Great question and I think only the second time someone has asked! I do know they have been using a lot of Taiwan rubber products in the new saws for dampers. They have them in the pull start also. I can't answer if they have them in the Neo-tec line but I do know they have them in all of the Farmmac line of equipment. I hope this helps! Thanks for commenting 👍 and subscribing! Ric

@@CornucopiaFarmstead Thanks Ric. I really like your videos. Thanks for replying. I have a minor issue with my circulation and found that whenever I use a saw other than my ECHO 620, I suffer vibration issues. The ECHO anti-vibration is very good. The best I've ever experienced. I do want a smaller saw for general all around use, however, and you made that little Neo-Tech look pretty darn good.

@@interstellarconundrum4774 thanks bud! We don't always catch all the comments as some get away from us and then seem to be lost in the time space continuum???? We do try and answer all comments as soon as we can but some do get lost unfortunately! As for your circulation issue that is a real bummer, I imagine that can be a real bummer right there, man that is a tough one for sure! I have to vary glove thickness to help control the tingle and then the coming of the numbness myself, but it doesn't sound as severe as your issue! Really hate that, hope you can figure a good solution that helps. As for this little saw it really does run quite well and I would say border line hot rod. I had talked to Neo-tec about it and they said that you could run up to a 24 inch bar on it which I still can't believe but who knows, they may actually have tried it? But I can say the little things screams better than any little or up to 50 cc saw I have, really impressed with it! Thanks for commenting 👍 and subscribing! Ric

Did you fix the stratto gasket issue before this video?
@CornucopiaFarmstead2 жыл бұрын
No the only mod I did with this saw is grease around the air filter seat. I feel like the motor is at a very high state of tune the way it is stock. It is very free revving but also feels very solid too. I. Sure gains can be made but until you get one of these in your hands, you'll see it is a ripper. More power with this thing could make it more dangerous than it already is! Thanks for commenting! Ric.

@@CornucopiaFarmstead thank you for your response. I was talking about how Neo doesn't cut the stratto section out of the gasket for copyright infringement purposes. Its not for hp gains its just how husqvarna does it so Neo left the stratto part of the gasket there instead of cutting it. I've seen 4 videos already where the carb was pulled and the gasket needed to be cut. Ran even better afterwards. I'm definitely getting one in the next month or 2. Seems like a great saw for a tight budget.

@@felonebike9859 I understand, I personally rarely mod anything for performance but do remove extra bits that likely aren't necessary for sure. On saws usually I rarely remove anything regardless unless it absolutely has to. No when I roadraced motorcycles that was a different story. We would get within a couple ounces of the class weight limit and roll with it, but that was road racing. Raced Wera and CCS for many years, never had enough to race AMA though. Retired from that money pit and went trail racing doing hare scrambles, much cheaper and easier to have a great time for family too!
