I’m thinking of purchasing this with a new 4K Sony Tv and Ps5, previously I’m using a Sony SRS-XB43 mainly for music as that’s its purpose but I can control frequencies in music centre app. I’m just wondering if this setup would be a good replacement for music but also for gaming (which isn’t a problem if not cos I use headphones for competitive) and obviously films and TV. What I’m using doesn’t really work well for films TV’s as it’s more for music.

I have one, the bass is deep, and the sound out of the speaker is amazing. Maybe your bass connection? Or got a faulty one? It can make pictures on my wall shake. I use mine for watching tv (shows and sports) and movies, along with Bluetooth music through Spotify and my own on plex, and gaming on xbox and playstation, it all sounds incredible!

If you like heavy bass and somewhat good clarity, go for Sony soundbars. If you prefer clarity with a little less emphasis on bass, I'd try out a Samsung (though some have software issues, I prefer my HW-N850 with the added rear surround speakers over both Sony bars that I've bought (HT-X9000F and HT-NT5).

Normally dialogues in movies are not in the same hd quality (audio) as the music or sfx scenes. That is the reason.

Kool review, I just copped this sound bar system along with a SONY 55inch X75H 4K .. I'm waiting on a TV stand with sound bar brackets and chose to crack this system open and test it in the meantime and like my other SONY sound bar system which then came with a small receiver this system too is amazing..I purchased both items on sale from my local Walmart ..the SONY HT-SD35 sound bar system retails for $199.99 I got it on sale fro $179.99 and the TV retailed for $589.00 I got it for $518.00. I gotta tell you sound does not get better than DOLBY sound technology as well as movie formats i.e. BLU-RAY, or 4K , OLED all leave you with little distinction. Your just paying for the reigning latest greatest with differences that are undetectable to the naked eye or ear. DOLBY is the bar and never sounds bad while new sound technologies claim to be better. than DOLBY, I cant tell and neither can you. This sound bar and subwoofer combo is AMAZING. I'm listening to Anita Baker as I write these comments and at low volume I can hear every instrument playing on her songs and her voice is crystal clear with properly placed bass so evenly meshed that you think the bass sound is coming from the sound bar alone. Again just amazing. I'm going to do a review of my set up and will post it on my channel soon. If you like the sound in this vlog that HiTechKing made. I'm telling it sounds 100% better in person. In any bedroom this system is all you need. I install the sound bar near or on the TV and place the subwoofer near my bedside and it gets no better than that.

Be sure: 1. your cable supports ARC (audio return channel) and, 2. your cable is connected to the HDMI port labelled ARC (if you have an older TV, it may not support this feature).

Setting up the HT-S350 is brilliantly simple, especially for TVs with HDMI ARC. Simply plug in the bar and subwoofer, connect a high-speed HDMI cable (not supplied) to your TV’s HDMI ARC port, and you’re likely done. This should also allow your TV remote to control volume, though in some cases you may need to engage ARC and/or HDMI-CEC in your TV’s settings menu and change the sound output to External Speaker or Receiver. If your TV doesn’t have HDMI ARC, simply connect via the provided Optical cable, though that means you’ll need to add one more remote into the mix. As mentioned, newer Sony TVs can also connect to the bar via Bluetooth.

If it's connected to the TV and not in Bluetooth mode, then restart your TV. The Soundbar will turn off automatically, and restart together with your TV. Then it should work.
