What i love about these guys is you can tell they dont play to a click and dont write into a computer with a metronome. All the tempo changes, subtle increases and decreases in speed. It gives so much life to the songs that other modern death metal bands are missing.
@mikejames57436 ай бұрын
you can definitely do that with a computer, tap tempo can be say 120.52bpm, 133.8bpm etc. best thing to do as an engineer is have the band play live in their rehearsal room and bring the lap top and start making tap tempo tracks for each song they perform, tighten up metronome as needed to bring out best performance in band.

Just discovered and instantly love this band. It was exactly the cut of death metal I was hungry for...interesting riff and song structures, death-throated but comprehensible lyrics on vocals, the bass really incorporated and allowed its own place, and the riffs/structure...It's in the footsteps of Malevolent Creation but better, more novelty...same spirit but better songcraft and musicianship I think (it's not a competition, but by way of popular comparison). Great act.

@conkyjoe89323 ай бұрын
In full agreement. Honestly, I've really never gotten ANY of the metal/hardcore genre Nazi-ism shit that I hear. I get that the founding hardcore bands generally also had lifestyle & political views that were at times on the total opposite end of the spectrum than metal, but to me, it's all just "heavy/dark and or aggressive" MUSIC. Rarely do I go so far as to look up or learn about the fucking personal lives or viewpoints of the members of bands I listen to...I either like or don't like the shit. I guess I first observed this in reference to The Black Dahlia Murder, bc I heard them before ever seeing them, like their appearance I mean. And I would try and turn other metalheads onto TBDM if they hadn't already heard them, and I got a lot of, "Ehh nah, I'll pass, I'm not into that hardcore/scene kid type stuff"...and I was just like wtf? Where are you getting that they're anything other than just a great death metal band?! And it all generally boiled down to these factors: a) the name. It was a phrase, instead of just A WORD or something, and a ton of the hardcore/metalcore bands of the time had song titles & band names that were just overtly long for the sake of being so... b) other bands they'd toured with, and therefore it was assumed they must sound the same, or at least in the general ballpark (when it was usually not the case, and Hell it even caused issues JUST LAST YEAR when I saw TBDM in Ft. Worth, Texas and they brought Terror along. TOTAL night/day when it came to the audience that showed up. Some came JUST FOR Terror, and I guess you can sorta assume the problems that arose, helped in no part by Terror's vocalist being intentionally antagonistic to the security and metalhead-side of the audience, and lastly c) any promotional photos of the band generally had them wearing slip-on Vans, tight jeans, basketball shorts or cargo shorts, etc etc and so, as we ALL know *incoming sarcasm*, if ya wear vans, cargo shorts, and a sleeveless black shirt, then you're assuredly in a hardcore band. It's just science, man. Smdh. Tldr; I don't hear any "hardcore" ANYTHING in this band, and I'm not saying that's good, or bad either. I'm just saying J really don't give a shit bc the music is good, and I thought that's why anyone would listen to w/e bands they do...bc they just like good music.
