I wish GM could make the new Yukons as good as these older ones.

@@NutzAboutBolts Anything with the 6 speed transmissions and newer are lucky to get 125k before rebuild. My neighbor purchased brand new a 2015 Yukon XL for his wife, at 60k miles he was getting the oil changed and the mechanic came out and said hey I think you need to see this. The frame, yes the frame, had a crack in it. GM had the vehicle for 3 months and had to take to body completely off. This vehicle had never towed or been off road, it’s on soccer mom duty.

@@hokie9910 wow… that’s poorly built. I hope it wasn’t used by the dealership and then resold it as brand new… We had a 2006 Honda accord 2 door that was sold as new, but come to find out, the dealership used it for 500 miles and then had body damage and repainted and put it back on the lot as a “brand new” vehicle. The only reason we found out was because I accidentally backed it into our truck and the paint was scraped, but there was obvious bondo on the body and found out it was used. Some dealerships are scummy like that. Hope that wasn’t the issue and it was just a poorly built model.

Hello I'm having a problem with the knock sensor in my 2003 GMC Yukon XL 2500. I've changed the original sensor, wire and refrigerator face three times, yet the Check Engine Light is still on. The codes that appear on the scanner are P0300, P0332, and P0327. I also changed the spark plugs with the wire, and used #41-110 spark plugs as recommended by the parts store, even though the recommended spark plug number for my car is 41-962 according to the chassis number. I would like to know if the problem may be caused by using #41-110 spark plugs instead of 41-962. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks

Do you have to disconnect the battery while doing this?
@NutzAboutBolts Жыл бұрын
No I didn’t need to, but if you don’t feel safe, disconnect it.

Hi!! I have a 2006 Yukon. I will not give it up for nothing it’s running great I only have 172,000 miles on it. My kids tell me I need to go get a new car and I said “no”I’m not spending 50 grand on a car. Thanks mine perfectly fine. I don’t like sitting on the ground. Question my battery died twice. I live in the Pacific Northwest so we charged it. Everything was fine. I had been ill so I haven’t driven the car very much the past year, but the battery is dying overnight. I took it over to the auto parts. They checked the battery. I’m sorry I forgot two other parts. My mind went blank. But they checked the battery and the two other parts and he said was fine. He said maybe the ignition wires loose, maybe it’s the spark plug. Do you have any idea what it could be? I watched your video and I was thinking maybe I can try to do that? I’m sorry I’m a widow. My husband passed away, so I’m trying to figure this out before the dealership charges me an armand a leg. Thxs

How old is the battery? Battery usually don’t last longer than 5-6 years. There should be a sticker with the month and year on it if you can check.

@@NutzAboutBolts I see a black round sticker on top of the battery on the side of the barcode and the serial number it says 2/22 which actually does sound correct. Thank you for getting back with me. I appreciate it!!

@@shameshameshame_ looks good, where did you buy the battery? And any warranty on the battery? Any check engine light on? Usually you want to at least turn the engine on every now and then so the battery doesn’t get drained and die from sitting there not being recharged.

@@NutzAboutBolts I just called Napa where I purchased the battery. She told me it was purchased 11/21/22. (That explains why I couldn’t find it on my debit card or credit card for February 22.). She said yes I did pay for it two year warranty. Then she told me that perhaps the glove box is closed all the way, the doors are not closed all the way. When I told her that none of those would really apply to me. I have no aftermarket items in the vehicle . I asked her if I check the fuse box? That won’t help you because if it’s dead, it’s dead 🤦🏼♀️ When I turn the key, the only thing that blinks on the dashboard is the yellow engine light faintly, but it’s blinking . And I did notice when I turn the car off lately. It sounds like the air conditioner was still running, but it wasn’t for a few seconds. I hope I’m making sense when I turn the car off. The whole thing doesn’t turn off. I just hear something for about 5 to 10 seconds and then it it’s completely off.
@NutzAboutBolts6 ай бұрын
@@shameshameshame_if it’s still under warranty, I’d suggest getting a new battery. If there’s no lights on the dash board after the engine is running, then it might just a battery issue.

Also helps if you unbolt the oil dipstick bracket. Gives you a little more flexibility in getting your hand back there on #8.
