The fact that you left Rogue and Dante out of the top 5 shows how strong this material Is.

well Ive been reading 2000 ad since the early 80s and these are my recomends for the best of 2000 ad: Halo Jones, Tales of the black Museum, Finn, Scarlet Traces(including its sequels), Judge Dredd America, Abasalom, Counterfeit Girl, Aquila, Cabbalistics Inc. Glimmer Rats, Leviathan, Stickleback, Tales of Telguuth, Red Seas, Mazeworld, DR and QUinch, Ampney Crucis, Fiends of the eastern front(esp. the sequels and Prequels).

somebody has to start a 2000 AD cinematic universe to save society, make an anthology in style of love, death and robots and the most succesful into full feature movies or mini series TRUE TO THE SOURCE NO CENSHORSHIP OR SHIT FOR MODERN AUDIENCE

Nemesis The Warlock. The best, the absolute best. Of the characters 2000AD created and stories that were made into movies, this is the one that should have been a film. 18 certificate only of course because at times it's themes are very dark indeed. Just to see the underground cities of Termight itself brought to the big screen would be awesome. Somebody somewhere in the movie industry please consider it! Oh! And with Pat Mills as the screen writer and Kevin O'Neill as Art Director, that's important!

Nah.. Its over priced.. Art has gone down hill, rubbish
@sponge2603 жыл бұрын
@@mavis3916 the art definitely hasn't gone downhill, it's just evolved. All modern comics have a newer style, that'll just happen over time. They are pretty expensive though I will give you that considering not 20 years ago they were £1.20 and now they're £3.20, which is still a decent price for what you're getting in my opinion. They don't sell loads of them anymore so the price will have to rise over time.
@mavis39163 жыл бұрын
@@sponge260 your right, me saying the art is rubbish was bit harsh, it's still a good comic,£3.20 is a resonable price I suppose, I retract my Original crappy comment👍
@sponge2603 жыл бұрын
@@mavis3916 the monthly subscription is quite a good deal. A little under €20 to get it shipped to my house weekly. Surprisingly it's cheaper for me to do that compared to going into town.

I recently read slaine: the horned god, the art work is truly fantastic, I’ve always been a massive fan of Bisley, the man is a master. The story however is beyond trash, it’s boring stupid preachy nonsensical incoherent garbage that makes very little sense and pretends to be deep, when it’s actually very shallow.
@calvinjohnstone26643 жыл бұрын
Try: The Button Man. You can get a graphic novel of it and the sequel. Judge Dredd: America. Chopper: Song of the Surfer.
@johnmiddleton42912 жыл бұрын
That's true of lots of 2000ad strips. When every writer has a story about human prejudice, deconstructing hero tropes, or a "biting" commentary on Thatcher, Blair, Bush, whoever that lines up with the same "biting" commentary in music, films, etc then it all just becomes white noise that doesn't mean anything. Taken in isolation it seems brilliant, but in the larger cultural context that surrounds the stories, it becomes trite and pedantic even if you generally agree with the direction of the message. It's like subliminal reinforcement that strips away actual thought.

Slaine is pronounced Slawn-neh in Gaelic......it makes me physically retch every time someone butchers the sacred name so learn it or else feel the wrath of Brainbiter.....
