That's some of the most creative comic book writing I've ever leaned about, Judge Dredd is criminally overlooked by Hollywood in this age of Comic Book movies we're living in

The reason why is because the first major attempt to bring Dredd to the States was botched pretty badly in the 90s by the Stallone film. Due to it's failure the franchise is soft typecasted by a casual audience.
@fawfulmark24 жыл бұрын
@@lewisjackson7221 It's a bit more messy then that. Judge Dredd has always been a balls to the wall satire of a dystopian America with being an extremist police state, legalized obesity for sporting events etc. So it's less a risk of it being affected by Moral Defenders but more the issue that being left as is those more unfamiliar with the source material interpret it as such. I mean Hell, one of the most lauded JD tales is the America arc from the 90s that deals with a Hispanic woman leading a group of democracy terrorists against Dredd and you know anyone unfamiliar with that tale would jump the gun and assume political correctness being involved.

Netflix should bankroll this television project, Mega City One ...it would have vastly more interesting characters and storylines than anything currently on...the Witcher is outstanding....but " Mega City One" needs to be made and bankrolled by Netflix .... I personally started my own champaign to get this done...I've sent emails to Netflix ....I grew up in NYC buying your comics from forbidden planet in the 80s and I know this will be the most epic thing ever....the "Dredd " movie with Karl Urban is the best scifi in ages...great performance ...gritty...true to the comic...they did good by me..what do i call it... The best movie ever made LET'S GO FELLAS!!!!

Thank you saying what case file has what story .. I try to avoid double dipping 😁 Here in America we need these case files to continue to be printed. I was just made aware of Judge Dredd and have a lot of reading to do. I can't seem to find case files 1 thru 4 and many of the latter half of the series. I need to collect all 34 !! 🙃

My first was Whitey, "Judges can bleed too". Sooo dirty Harry, and the intro to the 1st Dredd movie, starring Rock-I am the law -y. BTW, Hammerstein and Ian Dury had a part in that film too. Hammerstein is the epitome of an humanoid drone. I wonder if we'll start to see more like him on our current day TikTok battlefields? Btw, we are now living in the age of the Judges Fargo.

Shame they can't make a TV series starting with Devil's Island from Prog 2. All the stories and plots are there. I'd buy the series boxsets as they came out. I can't help thinking it would need a budget that was too big, which might be the problem. Other sci-fi series manage to run though.
