Zygrene and S2000s are like beans and rice for Brazilians. No matter how long they been apart, they always come together with such passion and romance as though they never left each other. The S2000: "I love you pookie, forever!!!!"

S2000.... The only low powered car that gives you an extremely frustrating combination of over and understeer all at the same time. If you can minimize both.. it will absolutely destroy any Miata with similar mods, similar tires.
@DC5Brandon3 ай бұрын
With the prices of used S2000's being what they are, what about comparing that to a used modified RSX Type-S? I curious how close you can get to the "fun" of a S2000 for less money. Although the RSX is FWD, it's K20A2 can be tuned to rev as high as the S2000, but I'm really curious how close each Honda 6-speed shifter feels to each other.
@sbfd3s3 ай бұрын
Still looks like it has some understeer at corner entry causing you to use more steering lock. Probably should run a square tire setup to make it more balanced. Since he is only on 17x9s a 245 square setup will likely feel better than 255 square
@nocturneastro25393 ай бұрын
I decided against the square setup because I didn't want to do any fender work. When I'm fast enough to warrant a BBK, I'll consider a square setup because I'd have to do fender work to fit wider wheels up front.

I was actually intrigued by those SakeBomb Garage Long Stroke coil overs and curious how they compared to stock Ohlins DFVs! Thoughts? It also looks like it handled a lot better than the previous iteration.
@nocturneastro25393 ай бұрын
I don't have the previous version as a baseline to compare against, but I can tell you that these are worlds better than the KW V3 I had on the track before. These are 14k/12k.
@nocturneastro25393 ай бұрын
I think these are a great option for a relatively inexpensive set of track oriented coilovers without spending the big boys money (JRZ, MCS, Ohlins TTX, and etc).
@TforTouge3 ай бұрын
@@nocturneastro2539 Makes sense. I'm curious how they compare to the SakeBomb longstroke Ohlins since that's what they take after, or just the regular DFVs since the price point is pretty similar. What other coil overs did you consider before buying these?
@nocturneastro25393 ай бұрын
@TforTouge I didn't consider other coilovers. I was fine with the KW V3 and was content on becoming a better driver with them. However, with the price of those FXp, and they could be valved for high spring rates, and I could probably sell the KW V3 and pay for them (which almost came out to be a free trade), I gambled and just went with them. And I would do it again.

What's going on with the high steering centering force?
@nocturneastro25393 ай бұрын
I have no idea to be honest. I've never driven another S2000 aside my own. Zygrene and I have some theory. (1) AP1 being AP1 (2) My current staggered setup of 225 tire width up front being narrow. (3) maybe caster adjustment on the next alignment?
