Quick view of my trusty daily driver, a 1-owner 2000 INFINITI i30 (A33 chassis) that I bought used in March of 2009, with 122K miles.
As of December of 2020 (when this video was filmed) the car has 262K miles. In spite of its age, it still is in excellent shape, both mechanically and cosmetically.
I've always been a huge fan of American low-riders and Japanese VIP style cars. So early in 2013, I lowered it using Megan EZ Street coil-overs for a more dramatic look. I added a square set of used Work Euroline N2 rims (18x8, offset +40) that I had previously refurbished. I also tinted all windows (except the windshield) and completed the look with a white “fusa” and gold “tsuna”, ordered directly from Junction Produce in Osaka, Japan.
In 2014, headlights and fog lights were upgraded with a 6000K HID set. A pair of Touring model side skirts were painted and installed as well.
In 2015, I added a pair of 27mm Ichiba spacers so the rear wheels would "kiss" the fenders and look more aggressive. I ended up ditching those and swapped them in 2018 with a set of 30mm H&R spacers because the built-in Ichiba studs were too weak! So far the H&R set has proven to be far superior.
Come 2018, the braking system was upgraded with PowerStop brakes on all 4 corners, along with slotted and drilled rotors for a sportier look.
Finally in 2020, the headlights and fog lights were rewired with a more modern set of 6000K LED lights.

I hear you: all-beige interiors look nice but are high maintenance, unfortunately. I used to have a 97 Maxima with a two-tone beige and brown interior. It wasn’t too bad but I had to wipe the seats every other week to keep them neat.

Yes: it was (almost) always carport or garage kept, at least under my ownership (I'm the 2nd owner). I had the rear quarter panel worked on and repainted by a body shop in 2009, 3 months after buying it (I had hit a pole in a parking lot, oof). Other than that incident, the paint and clear coat are original. No: I'm afraid you can't get rid of the wheel gap without installing coil-overs, or dare I say by cutting the stock springs (but I would never try such a hack, you might blow your shocks fast, lol). I was told that installing lowering springs (like an Eibach set) do not lower the car all that much. Coil-overs are the way to go IMO.

@@FabienTeulieres93 how is the ride quality being lower to the ground are bumps more noticeable ?

@@snowfall1771 The ride quality is good, as long as you mind road hazards such as dips, bumps, potholes, steel plates etc. Any lowered car will be fine as long as you drive it accordingly and stay aware of your surroundings. It's still my daily driver and I've been driving it low like that since 2013. If anything, it made me a more defensive (and slower!) driver due to the challenges of riding low. But you get used to it fast. Thanks for the compliments - I'm very meticulous with it, I admit. Also, I think the stock 17-inch five spoke wheels on the Touring version look great. I almost went with these before deciding on the 18-inch Work wheels. Enjoy your i30, they truly are great cars!

Can you link me a front bumper and back bumper combo
@FabienTeulieres93
@FabienTeulieres93 2 жыл бұрын
My front and rear bumpers are both stock. There are a few companies that still offer aftermarket bumper combos for the A33 chassis (like Ionic Dynamics in USA) and a couple of Japanese tuning boutiques as well (like Wald). The Japanese ones are nicer but very expensive to import to the US. The Thai tuner market offers a variety of choices for the A33 (popular chassis over there), but I wouldn’t even know how to import anything from there 🤷‍♂️
