After removing the coil rail its a good idea to blast some air in the spark plug hole before removing the plug. Any offroading, good chance you will have dirt and debris in there.

Great clear, simple video. i really appreciate the good lighting! my 2000 tj with 251k miles has been sitting for 3 months. drove it yesterday and of course the check engine light pops on. you can feel and hear the misfire. put the code reader on it: cylinder 6 misfire confirmed. thought about dropping it off but i think now i'm just going to change out the plugs myself. Thanks for the info

"don't get all HE MAN on me", you say...LOL!!! I just bought a jeep & i'm hoping I can do this work by myself. I'm looking forward to working on it. I really appreciate this video!

Gotta add a little southern charm to it ya know!! LOL .. Hope this video really helps you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. If I have already created a video, I'll share the link to you. If I haven't created a video to cover the question, I'll answer it to the best I can. Somethings are hard to diagnose/guide without actually being hands on. Never know, if it is feasible, I may even be a great create topic. Good luck and enjoy your Jeep! Have a great day!

I wish I had done mine myself. The mechanic I took it to messed it up, BAD. Also had a rim stolen as well.

I got some E3 spark plugs on my Jeep. I know they cost more but it runs better than it did.

Greetings! I just got a 2004 TJ and was wondering about the plugs--still good? No good?- at about 84,000 miles. Couldn't have watched your video at a better time! Thanks for the great info and the entertaining videos--yes, I subscribed. Also just saw in the list; your video for changing the blower motor switch and controls. My "new" '04 only has settings 3 and 4 working on the blower switch, so I'll be viewing that one tomorrow. (Been a long day, or I'd watch it tonight ... .) Thanks so much y'all, Goodnight from northeast Indiana, and happy video-ing!

Honestly, I'd change the plugs regardless. They are n't terribly expensive and could possibly pay you back in improved fuel mileage. It seems to be a common issue with the blower motor control. Luckily it is fairly easy to change out. Here is the link to make it easy on ya: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn6mZZSrm52iorM . Thanks for subscribing! Hope the video and channel helps you! Have a great day!!

Yeah on my 2000 TJ the coil pak bolts were really torqued down.I guess theirs enough room there to get at the plugs without dealing with unconnecting the coil rail. Heard that dealing with that red tab was a bitch.
@Poweraddicts3 жыл бұрын
Those coil packs are a little past snug. They are very tight at all.

What's spark plugs give you better performance ?
@Poweraddicts6 жыл бұрын
I've always used Autolite and did well. I'm not into buying the really expensive plugs. I've never seen a large enough saving to justify paying for expensive spark plugs. Thank for dropping in! Have a great day!
