Hands down one of the best 3.8s I've heard. I have a stock system off a GT and it sounds better than my other mustang that I had that had a thrush setup on it... I wonder how headers would sound with the stock GT exhaust.

That's impressive for a 6. I'm in the process of wasting some time building a 4.3L stroker just to see what the last of the pushrod V6s Ford had in a car can handle. Been figuring this cnc table out and made rocker stud and main girdles so I can really put some aggressive cam and rpms to it. Just can't decide if I want to do twin hair dryers or spraycaine the bajeezus out of it. Leaning towards both.

Ended up just running her NA for now. Bumped CR up to 10.6:1, Comp 259HR115 cam, roller rockers, ported stock heads,1.94/1.55 valves, F150 intake manifolds ported, cut the throttle body flange off the upper and welded a GT style flange onto it to mount a 75mm TB, home made long tube headers, Deatschworks 39lb injectors, blah blah. Havent had a chance to put it on a dyno to get any numbers, but it moves pretty good for a V6. It aint like the 4 figure V8s I'm used to building, but its entertaining cutting it lose against some 90s and early 2000 V8 common models around town and see there face when hey get pulled on by a 6 banger. Also nice averaging around 26mpg with these prices lately.

I'm not an exhaust guy honestly I know nothing about them besides trying to figure out what I want in my 3.8. I really like the sound of this one, especially at idle, I wouldn't know how to eliminate that high rpm rattle though. Nice car 👊

I believe you're talking about the rasp. Cats or high flow cats (catalytic converters) would tone down the rasp. Thanks a lot man!

@@itsnotan8 sounds like most the rasp is from those mufflers the borla styled ones on mine surprisingly have no rasp and its completely catless I may add resonators to tone it down cuz its on the loud side but it sounds good

Always excited to see a new video pop up. 0-60 before and after of the headers will be interesting to see as well, maybe you could eventually bring her to a track! Funny question how many miles do you get on a full tank? I’m only able to get about 530km driving sensibly. Also more donut vids! We like donuts

I appreciate the support Alex! I've been meaning to get a new 0-60 but haven't found the time to record it. I'd love to run it at the track, I'm just afraid it's not gonna run what I want. Closest track is an 1/8 mile, Farmington, about 50 miles from me. Good question, I should get close to 400 miles or 640km if I drive all highways. I get 30+ mpg on the highway. I'm afraid I don't have anymore tires to burn off 😂

What’s going on bro I have a mustang just like yours and I don’t have no cats on it either but mines sound like it hole where airs escaping from the exhaust system I have a x pipe done on mine I want mine to sound like yours but they don’t manufacture the Mac dual exhaust system anymore any tip on what I can do going forward in making it sound like yours TIA!

Yes, it's 2.5in piping. But the original piping is 2.25in. I just went 2.5 because that's how big the outlet is on the headers and the rest of my catback was 2.5 as well.

I have a 03 v6 stang with stock gt catback exhaust and it sounds great but my check engine light came on for my cats so I need to go louder 😂 and this is my ideal sound but I’m looking into the borla gt catbacks and long tube headers

How hard is the manual swap I’m about to do it to my 99. With also a tuner, new spark plugs gapped .65, screaming demon coil pack, new exhaust and how’s the gt reared notice a difference?

It's pretty straightforward. First half of is removing the automatic, second half is like a clutch and flywheel replacement. No, no difference with the gt rear end other than both tires spin instead of a one wheel peel.

Get dual magna flow mufflers , have a shop remove the catalytic converters and if you have the money throw a pair of longtube headers I guarantee you'll get this sound or louder

The rev limiter was raised to 6k in the tune.

How do you get yours to rev to 6500? I can only touch around 5800

Well it was only around 6,200. My tune has the rev limit set at 6k, so it will touch 6,200 and bounce back.
