Thanks for the video, you saved me some grief. I got mine replace in under a hour. Bleed the valve afterward, but both rear calipers needed bleeding too. I removed the spare tire for extra work space.

If brake fluid is leaking from the boot does it mean the load sensing valve is bad?

Prop something to hold your brake peddle in and it won't leak fluid. It just needs to be pressed in a tad.

Sorry, I know this is an older video, but could I ask what symptoms you were getting that signaled you to change the LSPV? I have an 03 tundra with a distinct "pop" in the pedal when pressed halfway down. The pedal builds braking pressure prior to the "pop" then had a sudden loss of pressure, then a sudden regaining of pressure when the pedal goes the rest of the way down. I can't find anything on the forums. Wondering if the corrosion/rust in the LSPV you describe in the video could be causing the valve to stick and then "pop" once the pressure overcomes the stickiness? Thanks for the help and the great video.

I have a 1987 Toyota one ton pickup chassis with a motor home built on it!!! 4 clyinder, automatic trans, rear wheel drive with a proportional valve in the back. The left fronf wheel locks up and skids. With light braking. But the truck does not stop very well! I put a new master clyinder on because it was leaking.. Also put a new vacuum booster. Still the front break locking up, then put new pads and calipers up fromt!!! Still not stopping. The I just put a new proportional valve and now it still locks up and hardly stops. When I bleed the brakes I get fluid out of the proportional valve. But now I don't get any fluid out of the bleeders on the drum brakes. What should I do???? Larry

So let me get this straight. I am going to need TOOLS to do this ? Then I am going to need a tool kit? Speak english! We aint scientists! Does anyone here know how to fix anything on a truck without using any tools ? Anyway. What was wrong with swapping the brand new one you had on the ground ? Why bother go through all the taking apart to try and fix ? Looked like it was the same thing.

Why would you want to do anything without tools? Tools are MAN. I can't find anything to respect in a person who doesn't respect and know tools. Personally if there is a tool I don't own I don't know of it. Without tools we are just animals.

@@shannanhostetler5349 Ok. So.... How much time on your video would you use to explain that someone is going to need a set of wrenches, screwdrivers, etc... ? Is that like telling someone how to paint a house, and then saying they are going to need to buy paint and a paintbrush? If anyone has the balls to tackle a prop-valve repair and DOES NOT own or know how to use tools ? Seems like they are going to need a bunch of other sets of videos to watch before expecting to fix anything.
