2000 Volkswagen T4 (2.5 TDI 88HP) | POV Test Drive

Best sounding and most reliable engine VAG ever built. Can be driven for hours at the rev limiter in 35°c Summer heat on Autobahn and it just asks for more.. 98 T4 Van with this engine (1. gen VEP TDI, 5 cyl. 88hp 195Nm) oldest car in my family which never let us down, despite having a hard life on construction site. Opel (corsa c 1.2), Audi (2x A4, 1.8T and 2.7 TDI), Mercedes (OM648), Peugot and T5 ( 2. gen PD TDI 1.9) all let us down on more than one occasion, but this T4 Van just keeps on going

The best sounding VAG engine is the 2.8 12v VR6 (AAA) I know because I've got one, as well as a 2.5 T4. The 2.5 sounds like it's going to fall apart in comparison :)

@@DeePaignall The VR6 DOES sound sweet, wish i could hear one in real life.. they seem to have gone extinct in east germany sadly. But the 2.5s "wooden knock" at idle and the "clanky box of nails" under load just holds a special place in my heart.. The PD-1.9TDI does a way better impression of the "falling apart sound".. it just STRUGGLES when cold starting.. gotta find and upload the video of that fucking zombie lol

Ja mam t4 2.5tdi 88km polift i idzie 170-180km/h, długo zajmuje żeby dojść do tej prędkości ale da się
