I mean you can restore a quad to make it rideable reliable and fun to keep it under 2k, which is what anyone will usually want to spend on one or you can flat out build something you love and really want

Thank you so much for making this video!! I’m in the Upper peninsula of Michigan and I’m about to do the same thing. In 2021 I tore a 89 warrior completely down to frame and rebuilt everything just like you did. Then my engine failed. First goal of this summer is to rebuild my engine so this helps immensely. I hope you’ve had awesome journeys on your warrior and never regretted building it!! I personally think the warrior is a perfect platform. It’s such an all around versatile quad.

Thanks man, I appreciate it and I thank you for taking the time to watch the video. I completely agree with you, the warrior is an all around great platform. I'm sorry to hear about the engine failure on your warrior, thankfully enough they are easy to rebuild and have a decent aftermarket support. Best of luck on the frame off build man!

Very nice man, I had a 2000 warrior, it was bone stock was fun but had its qwerks. Got a 400ex loved it until it had a swingarm issue. Now I got a trx250r from 1986 that's my rider now. Your warrior looks like she pulls good for a warrior
@JessePelkey12 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks man I appreciate it, sounds like you've had quite a few of bad ass machines yourself. 250r is pretty freakin sweet brother, I hope to one day but my dream 250 2 stroke at some point but the way the market is going and as uncommon as they are may take me awhile. As far as the warrior goes, she pulls great, I had taken off work to go riding for three days and boy was it a boat load of fun 👍

Came across your video cause I'm purchasing a 2000 warrior my self, thank you for a extremely detailed video! The quad I'm getting is in better shape than yours was when you bought it, so I won't have to do such a deep build, but love the stance of yours, the control set up and look... I'm about 2 hours from windrock, and have friends that make multiple trips a year, I planned to go out with them this summer might see ya out there!

Looking at buying a 1995 wolverine from the original owner from new. Thing is mint with a bunch of factory accessories on it. $2000 runs great. Do a lot of trail riding had a new 06 yfz450 for years and got out of the sport when I moved to the city back in 2014. Getting back into riding with the wife and looking for something fun and trail ready. Think it would be a fun trail toy to play and pair with our grizzly’s. Missing light weight sport quads but at the mercy of our terrain and 4x4 is almost a must.

Im sure im asking a question thats already been asked. But may i ask where you got your swing arm? And how much do you have extended. Looks really good on that quad. And anyone on here or anyone know of someone who sells the hoods for the front? Im in Missouri
@JessePelkey17 ай бұрын
Absolutely man, the swing arm is actually the OEM swing arm, I just sandblasted it and painted it white. As far as the hood piece goes, I dont know of anyone specifically but I know on some of the facebook groups they pop up every so often.

How’d you learn to build quads and do engine work? Are you a mechanic? Is it hard? I want to buy a fixer upper quad or like a 125 Dirtbike and fix it, I’m somewhat mechanically inclined, I take shit apart at work on an industrial level, but have never rebuilt a atv or anything. Just my hpi savage xl and my xmaxx lol
@JessePelkey1 Жыл бұрын
I've been ripping stuff apart and putting it them back together since I was little man. Became a diesel mechanic professionally out of highschool but have no problem working on anything. If you ever want to know how to do something, best way to do it is to teach yourself. Before this warrior I have never even ridden a warrior, much less work on one specifically. I bought a climbers manual and went to town.

$4,900 minus labor which could be $500? Even if i could get a raptor 700 for that price I wouldnt. Raptors may be faster i dont like the height they sit at and are kinda tippy. Thats a badass atv, my color combo would be red/black/yellow, I in 01' in 9th grade i was 15 and i had a 97' Blaster with those colors and it looked nasty. If u still have the wheeler, well done brother be proud of that lil thing. Ride hard but Ride Safe

Just did a few more modifications to the ol warrior, I'm up to $5,500 total parts investment now but I will still say 100% worth it (I've still got her). And thank you, red, black and yellow would look sick! I would love to pick up a blaster at some point for my kids to enjoy when they get older but I think it'd still be fun to build one. I just picked up a 2003 Honda 400ex that I'm going to start rebuilding here shortly.

@@israelford67 total parts list and prices were listed in the video but, cost of the quad not running = $500, total price in parts I spent $4500 to get it where it is today. Could have went cheaper but where I had to buy a completely new top end it definitely took up the majority of that price. If your quad is running then the build would be much cheaper.

I don’t know why mine is not running but like you can drive in reverse and be fine but when I put it in first gear it has no power it just creeps forward. I want to say that it’s something electrical because the day I got it ran fine no problems I paid a 1,000 for it sadly. Then later that night I was riding and turned on the headlights and start shutting down on me. So I’m really just trying to figure out that problem before I go add all the accessories
