On May 17, at the Beijing International Motorcycle Expo, the Great Wall Soul 8-cylinder motorcycle was officially introduced. The new motorcycle is positioned as a luxury touring motorcycle and is equipped with the world's first 2000cc horizontally opposed eight-cylinder engine.
The first luxury flagship of the Great Wall Souo brand was unveiled at the 2024 Beijing International Motorcycle Show. This new motorcycle is equipped with its own self-developed single horizontally opposed eight-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2,000 cc and is paired with an 8DCT transmission. In addition, the Great Wall Soul is also equipped with class 8155 chips, automatic parking, seat heating and other functions.
At this press conference, only the static part of this luxury flagship was shown. Detailed parameters and performance have not been officially announced yet. In terms of design, the Great Wall Soul contains inspiration and elements from the "Chinese Lion Dance", and the front looks quite domineering. Among these, the double circular light group combined with the lights in the upper eyebrow corners creates an illuminated tongue effect after the vehicle is started. The stance of the entire vehicle was designed with the lion being "ready to go" before jumping. Every turn and bend in the vehicle's side lines encapsulates the visual perception of a low center of gravity, like a crawling lion. Featuring the sense of "agility" and "majesty" in Eastern aesthetics, the rear design mirrors the front of the motorcycle and is extremely recognizable.
Great Wall Soul is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD touch control LCD display and vehicle-grade 8155 chip that supports OTA remote upgrade. There are speakers on both sides of the screen. The vehicle is also equipped with physical buttons and buttons above the fuel tank, including functions such as multimedia control, seat heating, automatic headlights and parking. The handles on both sides are decorated with chrome material to strengthen the texture of the vehicle. There are also function buttons such as cruise control and volume control. In other aspects, it is expected to be equipped with a one-button electric lifting windshield, heated handlebars and a 118L side luggage.
In terms of power, it is equipped with the world's only self-developed horizontally opposed eight-cylinder engine with 2,000cc power, combined with an eight-forward + reverse dual-clutch automatic transmission and integrated engine design. . In terms of safety, the Great Wall Soul Tourer uses a 3-layer progressive front suspension structure, adopts the world's leading multi-stage adjustable electronic shock absorption, and is equipped with Brembo opposed four-piston calipers at the front and rear. It also has active safety configurations such as a rear warning system and blind spot monitoring function that can monitor traffic conditions around the vehicle in real time.
