Personally, I think AI's 01 season overrates the rest of his 2000s run, as by 03 the 76ers are struggling to make playoff noise (while it was HIS team)... This is even coming from someone who watched that magical run as it happened and thoroughly enjoyed the magic he had. Then being traded to Denver and then Detroit actively made each of those teams worse, along with his wildly inefficient accounting stats... However, that one season alone, along with his accolades still lands him on the 3rd team for me and since he part of 7 different seasons during the 2000s at the PG, I'm cool with him there for this list. Wade to me is the 3rd best SG of all time and due to his crazy run for the 06 title, along with leading the league in points in 09/carrying that sorry Heat team to take the Hawks to 7 that year, being one of the best shotblocking guards of all time, and finishing with MVP votes every year outside of his rookie year and the season he played less than 55 games. I would slide him in the 2nd team. I would also bump TMac to the 3rd team at the 2 due to his lack of playoff success and injury frequency by the mid-2000s. I'd easily take Melo as my 2nd team SF due to the immediate impact he made in Denver as a rookie and consistent efficiency throughout the decade. I'd slide Ben Wallace over Yao due to his unseen defensive impact/awards, slowing Shaq down in 04 when many didn't think that was possible vs Yao's injuries cutting his decade short. Overall tho, outside of the position issue, I didn't get too upset with the guys' list. What did you think?

I think a list like this accolades do play a bigger impact vs talent. ie. Big Ben taking a spot over Yao. I do think Yao is a better player, but the accolades Wallace obtained on the defensive end combined with his impact in big games takes the edge for me. The lack of prolonged elite PGs and SFs is quite shocking to me as well. Just shows how far the game has come since the 00s. I also really wanted to put Chris Webber somewhere on the list as well cause that man in Sacramento and even Philly throughout the decade was insane but its impossible to justify im over Duncan/KG/Dirk. Finally, while researching for my response I was looking through Tim Duncan's stats and found out that by the end of his career, he ended up playing more seasons at center than he did at the 4... which is shocking since we often consider him one of the best PFs ever when technically by his retirement it was his secondary position
