Metra makes a double DIN conversion kit for the 01-04 Durango/Dakota, you might be able to use the template that comes with it for a cleaner cut and the bezel to make it look a little more seamless.

I did exactly what you did and it fits great but I need those left and right pieces on each side of the radio I really appreciate you showing a video of that because I did it in pretty short time instead of a grinder I just took a reciprocator saw off the metal brackets and it went through it like butter was kind of neat to see all this go together

Hi Tim. Glad to help. I obviously didn't measure the side pieces so mine turned out uneven but take your time and measure correctly and you'll have a clean fit. FYI: I'm in Southern California and I have 2 OEM subwoofers that I will put up for sale $300 for both. You're the first I've told. Thanks for watching.

Hi Captainobvious. Somehow, KZbin didn't notify me of your message and others. I just saw all the messages. The look of the double din is very cool, but I've got to say that I didn't use it as much as I thought I would, especially while driving. It sits so low that it makes it hard to really enjoy it, but it was nice to have the larger screen and the functions are so much easier to get to. I'm glad I could help.

Juan, you will not need to cut. 06+ already accommodate double din.

How did you get those little half moon pieces did you just cut it off of a dash kit that covers the oval edges I have the same exact dash cover there and I got that square double din radio and I want to cover the sides with that half moon tan pieces The ones you forgot to put on so you had to take it loose and put them back on again I hope you can understand what I’m talking about on the edges there are each side of it left and right give me a quick description of how you did that

Hi Distant Twinkle. It's the Scosche single din stereo kit for PT Cruiser. I cut the top and bottom pieces of the face trim.

What is the part number of the Scosche adapters that go on the left and right side of the 2din adapter plate and where did you buy them?

Hi Les Parnell. It's the adapter to mount a single din stereo. I cut the center of and used the edges only. I had a video on it but it seems to have dropped off for some reason. I'll have to reload it.

Les Parnel , I added the link for the adapter. I only used the part of the stereo and not the other 3 pieces and I cut out the center to only leave the round edges and cover the gaps.

@@leescott9910 use the edges of the stereo adapter by cutting off the center. Make sure you measure properly.
