2001 3rd Gen 4Runner SR5 Overview and 4WD System Test

First off, production quality is not outstanding and probably wont ever get better if I post another video. Its iMovie editing on an iPhone so is what it is haha. As mentioned in the video, the engine light code is P0446, which is standardized code language for emissions problems. I have till next September to get that figured out so wish me luck. In your guys opinion what is a green 3rd gen 4runner SR5 2wd with a new paint job and new timing belt and NGK spark plugs go for with 188,000 miles? I'm in the midwest no rust on the frame. It has a front black Safari grill guard and tail light guard and a touch screen radio in it . Very clean rig so let me know plz 1/16/22 I know prices are high during Covid times

I did, got it done probably a month after this was posted. Ordered patches from Safe-T-Cap and had someone certified by them weld them on. Been solid ever since and have done a good amount of off-road driving where I am out in Colorado now. Feel totally confident and comfortable with it.

what kind of roof rack do u have?

Its a ROLA Rack, instruction booklet says its the V-Tex Cargo Basket part #59504. I can't speak to how it was mounted (came with the truck when I bought it) as my rig doesn't have crossbars, but its on there somehow and pretty stable.

The code you have is for either the over fill check valve that's on top of the fuel tank or the charcoal canister itself, but do a professional smoke test to see if you just have a bad vacuum hose or switch, good luck my problem was the canister and the valve on top of the fuel tank both are DIY kind of jobs

The brush guard is from Blackhorse, and think I bought it through RealTruck.com. As far as the actual grill on the truck is just the stock one.

@@toho1234 I was able to do it myself. Uses the existing holes in the frame, though I did have to slightly widen two of them to get the bracket to fit. But once you have the bracket on it’s pretty easy, just a little awkward because it’s heavy. Would help to have a second person.
