My question is why do you have to take it off to replace it can't you just leave it on there and do the same process specially if it's on an old Chevy truck and it's upside down and it's easy to get to ?

You don't. This guy is stupid. You leave it on the car and start the engine and the pressure will blow the seals out.

It's easier to just remove the shaft from the back 4 bolts done.

That is showing extra washer my kit only has 3 n a snap ring but no video showing how to install it
