Got mine for $5000 at auction, 3 owners, clean CARFAX, spent 2-3k on it (tires, suspension, roof hydraulics, abs controller etc) So I have a car for $8kthats everything you describe, quiet, smooth, great air con, quick enough, everything works. Had a Bentley GTC but cant drive in Florida worrying about someone hitting me. Get a good one and these cars are unbelievable value, nothing like it, much better than my previous XJS and way more comfortable and usable.

Barrie I think you should ditch go-pro there are other alternatives, so expensive for something that overheats. However , your reviews have the best video on KZbin by far

ive got Gopros, Insta 360º One R, Insta Go2, Dji Pocket, Dji Actions, and the New Dji Action 2, they are all problematic and constantly need software updates which then conflict with other things

Stunning. Much prettier than an e type! . Could never see the beauty in them that everyone else seems to see. I'm in the same boat would love it but no where dry to keep it. Short of building a car port

I certainly like your taste in cars and music Barrie. I've only just got around to buying an iPod lead for my XK (X150) so now I can unleash Bruce H on the in-car sound system. Oddly enough, I have a funeral to go to next week, so that seems like the ideal opportunity. My mate was a big Who fan, so I guess Who's Next will get a thrashing on the return journey in his memory.

i think its the stupidest idea since electronic hand brakes, the state of some cars on the road now, and the advisories that they are willing to drive round with is beyond comprehension, if they can get away with it for 2 years that would be unthinkable, the roads would be an even unsafer place to be, not forgetting that some people have absolutely no idea about cars, never check their tyres or pressures, and would rather scratch their £1000 windscreens than pay £10 for a new wiper blade so they can see where they are going, in short only a complete idiot would even suggest extending the MOT, hope that answers your question 😂

Looking for advise please: considering a 2002 XK8, everything is flawless but seats, windows and roof doesn’t work. Seller is telling me some module change should do it, but I have no idea what him stepping into and can’t seem to find answers online. Any experience with this? Thank you

They may mean the body control unit, if it is it won’t be cheap, a BMW one is £830 plus fitting, plus coding plus vat, so be careful
