Guys great vid, bummer I would have liked to see more of the potential sound of this video, also you should have at least shown a shot of the rear back up camera. These cars (I have an 05 model) don't have an extensive choice of cameras. Are you using the gawdy license plate type camera or a hidden type camera. Plus, these kids need a how to on rear speaker install due to the lexus' factory wiring (4 wire connector) and not just able to connect a standard 2 way to the black/red wire and it being a good to go scenario. I purchased a true component speaker set to utilize the 4 wires and wire in the speakers to get the FULL RANGE DUE TO THE POWERED AMPLIFIED SYSTEM (USED THE CROSS OVER on the black/red wires for the woofer to get rid of high signal frequency to my 6x9 woofers). But anywho dig the vid, this deck looks good I unfortunately (being 42 an old school) bought a soundstream DOUBLE DIN WITH NAVI and well let's just say the SOUNDSTREAM of old they're not😭😭 anymore, daymn sham too had high hopes for that deck (wife hates it, yes cars hers lol). Dig the way it looks in the car and with all the features being relative to a cell phone my wife will DIG the ease of use (she's got the S9+), also she just found out about the WAZE APP on our last trip to DEGO CA LOVE THE CHP SPEED TRAP UPDATES. ILL BE BUYING THIS DECK ASAP!!!!!

Hi Davy, The size and shape of the radio and climate controls are slightly different so you wouldn't be able to swap the two pieces without some custom dash modifications.

We installed a wired Echomaster camera to the Elev8. Depending on your camera style and your vehicle the installation will vary.

I have the same car but an 02, instead of using the radio, can I replace the stock sat nav located on top of the dash? It's closer to eyesight and would be so much easier to follow directions! Also, would I be able to use a High 10 for either position or would it be too big? Authorized dealer doesn't really know and I'd love to save a mini road trip

Unfortunately, the Elev8 has been discontinued. We are focused on the Heigh10 at this time and the 10" screen would cover parts of the dash.

Will the combined power from the head unit and the amplifier cause issues with the speakers?

The wiring harness used in the video is specific to the factory amplified audio system. It uses RCA audio outputs and not the powered speaker level output of the HEIGH10

@@StingerOffRoad i have the same car. Installed an aftermarket alpine head unit. I have a high pitched sound coming from the speakers that changes with car's rpm. Double checked everything and no issues found even grounding is ok. Mind you i used an iso toyota harness everything works fine except that high pitched sound. Would you happen to know something i don't to fix it?

@@giorgosgeorgiou359 Could be the alternator interfering through the power cable. You may need a noise filter, could be the amplifier ground, or the antenna ground. 99% of the time it's ALWAYS a grounding issue..

We have not verified that vehicle as we have not had access. if it is the same vehicle behind the dash, including the CAN-bus (computer network inside) then it may work.

We do not have a video of that process specifically. All you need is a reverse light trigger to the purple/white wire of the HEIGH10, to tell it when to look for the camera's video signal input. Power up your camera and run the yellow RCA cable to the back up camera input RCA on the 24 pin connector. Easy peasy.
